Darling Husband and I met my junior year of college. I only worked summers as a nanny and he was graduated at the time working full time as a software developer. In the time since we’ve both gone back to school and had more “ramen” days together. Now I work as a consultant and he works as a product head for a tech company.

We met in our last year of high school. I did a few hours here and there at a local cafe for extra cash, he ran this cute little business converting vinyls into CDs. He didn’t work through college but I did. Mainly as a waitress but also at a call centre. Then I did a paid internship at Microsoft which is how I got into It even though I studied commerce. I know, odd. Now we’re 26, he’s an Electrical Engineer for one of the largest companies in the world and I was the Regional Manager at an educational software company until very recently when we decided I’d stop working for a while so I could follow my husband on an extended business trip. 🙂 we are relocating in 2 months and I’ll likely start work again once we’ve moved into and renovated our new house… I have no idea where I’ll work yet. Enjoying the unknown for now!

We met our freshman year of college. Neither of us had jobs at the time, but throughout college he worked for the intermural sports program at our university, and for a research firm that did background checks on people. I worked various office jobs at our school and for a law firm.

Now, he’s an IP lawyer and I’m an ESL teacher!

My Fiance and I met when I just turned 22 and he was 27. I was almost done with college. When we met, I was a waitress/hostess/barback at the restaurant I’d been working at since I was 16. He was a Sales Rep at Sprint.

Now I’m a part time nanny and part time corporate recruiter. He is a Sales Manager for a solar company.

It’s crazy how much can change! That was over 3 years ago smile

We 15/16 when we met – I babysat at the time and he didn’t work. After I turned 16, I worked at the local movie theater, but his parents didn’t want him to work during highschool.

During college, I had a various summer/holiday break jobs and internships; Darling Husband worked for a landscaping company during those years.

Now, I’m a magazine editor and Darling Husband is working on his MS in forensics and currently working part-time as a fingerprint tech.

Fiance and I met in highschool. We were only young kids at 15 but I remember my he was “pretty cool” cause he had a job at Safeway as a grocery clerk. I didn’t end up getting my first job at Value Village at 18. We both worked for about 5 years before moving on.

I work at a hospital as a clerk and he is an electrician. I might go back to school someday and he almost has his full licence!

winterbride19x :  We met at 18 and didn’t start working until the next year.  We both worked odd jobs (retail, hotels, restaurants) and unpaid internships throughout grad school.  I am now an attorney and he is in sales.  We live in a super high COL city so we’re not living fancy lives, but it’s nice to be in jobs that we both like now and being completely independant 🙂

  • Wedding: July 2016 - New Hope Presbyterian Church/Graystone Quarry

We met in high school, and neither of us were working at the time. We did a lot of odd jobs through college. I interned at a law firm for two summers, worked at summer camps, had an on-campus job during the school year, and he worked for his parents’ business and did sales. One summer, we actually worked in a fast food restaurant together, which was hilarious. Now I’m a teacher, and he works as a hematologist in a laboratory. It has been fun to go through all the changes together!

Well, I was a chemistry major when I first met him and working as a prep cook at a restaurant. I changed my major due to being bored to tears and now I am teaching kids with developmental disabilities. As for him, he is still a delivery man after all these years. He has been at his job for over a decade.
