I picked my ring out months after we got engaged. I hadn’t decided on a ring at the time I got engaged and didn’t see any reason to hold off on the engagement just for the ring.

He proposed about 6 months after the ring came in. He wanted to do it a little sooner but some stuff was going on with my family that pushed it back a little.

We’re slow but we already knew we wanted to get married this summer so things just sorta happened. We decided on a setting in December and the stone in February. Then I was out of the loop and had no idea what was going on. He proposed in April, the day he got the ring! He told me it took two months to get it back from Verragio hence the long wait. 🙂

We’ve been together for 5 years this month! We’ve looked at rings just to get an idea before but today we went and really picked it out! He’s getting it sometime in the next 2 months per our timeline. I’m so excited and glad to see I’m not the only one who picked her own! (Pic included. The solitaire is the ering and I’m getting the wrap for the wedding ❤️)

It took 8 weeks to be made; when it was ready, he picked it up in secret while I was out for the day and proposed that night.

I THink he intended to wait awhile to give me the ring. We customized it together and I knew which day it would arrive. Thank God he was too excited once he saw it to hold onto it for long and purposed that same day.

We went shopping in March this year :). He proposed the second weekend of April. Best night of my life.

We went shopping in June or July, and everyone expected DH was going to propose on my birthday in September. Lo and behold, he proposed one month earlier when we were taking a vacation up north. Perfect proposal-couldn’t ask for anything more! 🙂

I’m sure it will happen soon. I am of the belief that picking out the ring together is a great idea, because it actively involves you in the process.

He’s had the ring ready to go for 2 months and 11 days. But who’s counting?

Picked out my ring with SO in late April and he had it custom made. It’s finished and he has it, but proposal isn’t happening until August when we are in Europe! I’m studying for the bar exam now until the end of July anyway.

We bought the ring over Memorial Day weekend, and he didn’t propose until the end of October, lol. I actually thought he might wait longer because we had already discussed when we wanted to get married, and it was 2 years away. He ended up proposing 19 months before our planned wedding month (which is this month!!).

My husband proposed a couple days after the ring arrived, but I knew it was coming. I designed it!

waitingfouryears :  congratulations!! Such an exciting time. Me and my boyfriend of 4 years picked out the ring style last month and it’s getting made now! I’m absolutely on pins and needles waiting but it takes 6 weeks to make
