I didn’t vote in the poll since you didn’t specify if it was a real tree or a fake tree.
If it’s a fake tree, it goes up as soon as Halloween is over. If it’s a real tree, it goes up the day after Thanksgiving. It’s a fire hazard to have a real tree up longer than that.

@spoiledvamp27: Thank you!!! Maybe this year you could get an engaged one? 🙂

I love decorating for xmas! I voted one week-third week of November.
This year I am actually considering not putting up a tree though. I’ll be gone most of December at my parents’ in the States and when I return there’s 3 weeks till the wedding. So I’m not sure if it’s worth the time/clean-up, etc…:-/

@Evie19: Aw! Maybe you could do a small one? Like the 3-4 feet trees. 🙂

@Sweet.Sugar.Rose: Yeah I may do that. 🙂 I was eyeing the box of xmas stuff in the attic and it was staring back at me as if to say “don’t you love us anymore?” 😉

We get it the first or second weekend of December, depending when DH’s daugther is visiting. He likes to make the tree into daddy daughter time, but also wants to make sure it’s up for a good chunk of time before Christmas. So as early as we can in December as long as she’s here to help!
This thread is making me soooo excited!!

Another interesting question is…when do you take it down?
I don’t take it down until after the 12th day of Christmas (which is Jan. 6, the Epiphany – that’s Three Kings Day in Mexico!).

Im from Canada so we have thanksgiving in Ocotber….but in November we have Rememberance Day for all our fallen soilders.
I ALWAYS wait to put up decorations after that day. Maybe im over sensitive but i almost feel hurt for the veterans who walk by starbucks on Nov. 1 and see all the Christmas decorations…would it kill a company to place some poppies in the window and maybe some stories of the veterans? Anyways…off topic a bit.
In respect for the Veterans I seperate the days. I put my tree up the first week in December.
