We’re getting a 30×60 peaked frame tent for our ceremony and cocktail style reception (we’re planning on less than 80 guests). It will cost $1600 for the tent, $100 for a site inspection, and $100 for delivery. It comes with plain white sides that we can attach, but sides with windows are an additional $ .35 per ft. We also may need a building permit which would be an added expense (tents over 30×30 in our area could potentially require a permit).

We rented a 20×40 tent without sides and it was $350.

@ccantics:  are you talking for the ceremony? reception? How many guests do you have?

We will be getting a gazebo to sit about 30 metres away from our ceremony/initial photo location, because we are having it 30 minutes away from the town everyones in, and I will have some food/drinks there for people to mill around and watch us take some of our initial photos and so we can do the whole – *hugs*, hello, thanks, see you at the reception – because I hate having to spend half your reception saying hello to people and trying to make sure you say hello to everyone!

Anyhow, we will be getting one from a friend of ours who will be at the wedding, its 10×30 feet I think, and we have 75 guests. 🙂

Hope this helps!

EDIT I don’t know much about living in the US but you can buy 10×30 ft white gazebo’s here for about $200. I think I saw a 30×60 ft one for sale for about $600 ish.

We paid $2100 for a 100×40 and a chandelier. We paid an extra $1100 for draping, 14 uplights and twinkle lights on the wires. Below are some pictures our florist took while they were setting up 🙂

We paid just under $3000 for a large tent, 300 chairs, tables and a dance floor.  (I don’t know the breakout, I just know the total for the rental company)

Ours was only $500 but our wedding was on a Monday so Friday – Sunday it would have been $2000. The tent is permanently set up all spring and summer at the hotel we got married at.
