@Jewelieee:  Oh no don’t let me stress you out over not booking anything! Fiance and I have been together for over 6 years so I’m just eager to get this show on the road already!! LOL. Plus we live in a major city so I know things tend to book up faster than if we were considering suburban venues.

@LVoeBride:

Venues do get booked up in my area! I’m looking at northern NJ and Westchester county in NY. Though it helps because I’m planning for a Jan – March 2015 wedding date.

@Jewelieee:  Oh, your wedding date says June 3, 2014 so I thought you were planning to get married in 6 months!

I think this is the perfect time. SO many people get engaged over Christmas, New Years, and Valentine’s Day. Starting now means you can beat them to booking the best vendors.

Maybe the caterers aren’t going to work out right now, but you can hop on the venues, photogs, makeup folks, etc.

We got engaged in November 2012 and gave ourselves a couple weeks to enjoy and relax. Then, we started chipping away at the major vendors. Venue was booked in mid-January, before all those couples with holiday engagements started looking. 🙂

@stargazer102706:  Haha I think I just randomly picked a date when I joined the Bee. No wedding date yet!

@Mrs. Mink:  Yah that’s why I want to try and book by the end of the year. So many holiday proposals right now!
