doglovingwife:  I don’t work in the jewelry business, but I would hope that the employees would think their jewelry product was good enough for themselves. There’s probably a nice employee discount! I remember my jewelry sales rep when we looked at rings wore several eye catching rings, but they didn’t have gigantic diamonds or anything.

I notice their rings. All the girls in jewellery stores I’ve noticed have on AMAZING rings. Whether or not they actually own them tho is different. If I wasn’t married and I worked in a jewellery store I would still wear awesome wedding jewellery because of the chance to make a sale!

I wonder if any jewelery store actually makes employees wear the brand’s jewelery to help with sale, like how BCBG employees wear their clothes (even though as far as I know, they pay from their own pocket, but are required to wear the stores clothes). I did intentionally look at the hand of the jeweler I worked with to see how her ring looked like, only out of the curiosity that you have of writing this post, but also because I was hyper aware of rings since I was trying to get one!
Her left hand ring was just a simple pave band, and a nice chunky colored stone on her right hand. Who knows. Id love to see what jewelers say about this, since we talk about rings all day here

Nope–we wear our own wedding rings!
