In the grand scheme of things, is anything wedding related balanced as far as cost vs value?
Food that you Only get to enjoy while you’re eating it.
A dress that is potentially THOUSANDS for one day.
Hair and makeup you wash at the same night.
A musician or DJ that you don’t get to keep.
Flowers like most things especially in weddings is a temporary luxury that is indicative of a celebration. A beautiful display of good times. A pop of color contributing to your overall look and vibe.
Flowers are my favorite part of any wedding.

The original quote for our flowers was just under $3000, but I’m aware that it’ll go over by the time the wedding comes. Our florist is doing a ton! She’s getting up on a ladder and hanging enormous ribbons from the tree were getting married in front of, she’s doing these gorgeous and intricate center pieces and transitioning ceremony decor to the tables, hanging ribbons from the trees for our escort cards, putting ribbons on me and FI’s chairs, and so much more. Yes, I could’ve gone cheaper but she completely got my vision and is going to be the key to making our wedding aesthetically incredible.
Yes, it’s a lot of money and if it were my money there’s no way I’d be able to spend it on flowers, regardless of how soon they die (they’re live! yes, they’re going to die!). But we intend of having them donated to a local hospice so they’ll also enjoy them. It’s our wedding and if we have the money to spend on “frivolous” things like flowers, well…then we will!
