happyjuju :  some are upfront, some are not…even anonymously here! *Very* recently I asked someone which type  F1 or AG moissanite in her beautiful custom ring, and she deleted her thread!  She actually pm’ed me saying she had friends on here and was hoping to pass it off as  diamond!  (it was obvs not a diamond so good luck with that) Another recent thread showed a few rings soliciting advice about the “diamonds”, which were not diamonds at all…Eh people sometimes try it out here to see if a simulant will “pass”…kind of sad…better to love/accept what you have and eff what others may think…

Goirishgrl :  my diamond is .49 in a platinum solitare. It’s my avatar (Tiff & co)

My wrong from my exH was 1.24 ct round brilliant and my new ering is 2.20 ct cushion modified brilliant.

I would say that in my group of friends, mine is a bit above average, but there are definitely bigger.  A lot of people I know got married younger.  Those who waited or are getting married again have more cash to spend, so they can get larger stones.  That’s what happened with me.

I just got a new set becone of the stones in my quad set cane out and it never looked right afterwards πŸ™

I adore my new set center is a 1.01 j they said but I thought it looked more like a k which is why I loved it all that buttery goodness!

set in platinum because obviously I am a mess with my wedding rings!

mo86co :  Hi, thank you so much for the compliment πŸ™‚

I think it’s because of my size. I’m a size 4, so it does make it look a little bigger for sure. Plus the halo adds to it. But like I said earlier, it’s graded as an excellent cut, and having compared it to other 1 carats in store, I have noticed that it does face up bigger than a lot of other 1 carats.

mo86co :  I love both of your rings but I do have a preference for the first set (even if the center stone was smaller). Evidently, you can guess why^^! It is simply stunning and sparkles so much! But both of your rings are very unique. The yellow diamond will definitely stand out!

frenchiebeeinamerica :  I am in Sweden.

I have been married for 7 years and I can even tell a huge difference in what is common in diamond size now compared to then so it has changed fast. We will never get to American standards though, it is a cultural as well as economical thing I guess. Also other diamond lookalikes except for cz doesn’t really exist here.
