@thesugarpop:  great question!   I was totally open to lab diamonds. However my Fiance would hear nothing of it and we went with a natural Diamond.  Can’t wait to actually wear it!

I think Moissanites are beautiful, and I had one. But the oil slick that would develop drove me nuts. Eventually we found a beautiful natural diamond secondhand that I switched to. I feel better about it since it wasn’t purchased new. I am 41 years old.

@sharpshooter:  Yes my preference is mined diamonds I have been married twice an now engaged for the last time and in previous times I had mined diamonds.  I recently learned about lab diamonds and was considering it but Fiance said absolutely not. And to be honest I am really glad he felt that way. Just my preference.  I think people have to get what makes them hapoh there’s nothing wrong with either.

@confettihearts88:  I love that! It does carry an energy for sure!  I will always prefer natural vs. lab. But that’s just me.  I am confident about resale value of my e ring given who we purchased it from. It’s a matter of personal preference oh and I’m 52.

I have a natural diamond, but it wouldn’t have bothered me if my fiancé had proposed with a lab diamond … to be honest he could’ve proposed with a rubber band and I would’ve been thrilled lol. Engaged at 30 (fiancé was 34).

If you’re looking at lab diamonds and you’re concerned about lab diamonds becoming cheaper in the future, then go with a jeweller with a lifetime upgrade programme for their lab diamonds. James Allen has an upgrade programme where you can upgrade your diamond to another that is worth at least twice the cost of the first diamond. You just pay the difference (and a new setting if you want a new one or it doesn’t fit into your original setting).
