I don’t exactly have a green thumb….but my garden was inherited from my grandmother who had an amazing green thumb and its AWSOME! I have about 15 rose bushes including some english roses that are my FAVORITE (Large yard) cala lillies, Laveder, Chives, Rose Mary, Thyme, pansies, Snap draggons, gladiolus, hydrangages, forget me nots, lilacs, and about 10 more plants I don’t even know the names of!! They are sooooo beautiful!! And I am doing my best not to kill them all!! Keeping my fingers crossed!!

Let’s see…. school garden (I’m taking a horticulture class that requires us to grow a garden by the end of the semester) has chives, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, beets, radishes, cabbage, lettuce, peas, beans, arugula, spinach, mustard, broccoli, wildflowers (all california natives), azaleas, geranium, and miniature roses.

The home garden (we live with my folks so it’s a BIG garden) has oranges, apples, plums, grapefruit, lemons, peas, beans, tomatoes, strawberries, lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, blueberries, cucumbers, squash, chard, roses, miniature roses, orchids, and I’m forgetting the rest…. here’s a picture though:

I’m having so much fun with both of them!

I don’t have room outside, but inside I am growing tomatoes, basil, and peppers!!  I think my pepper plants are a lost cause, but my tomato and basil plants are coming along.  I also have a mini cactus.  I’ve always had a terrible time growing anything green, so I’m proud of my tiny “garden”.

@dodgercpkl:  That’s an AMAZING garden!!

Oh how happy I am the weather is nice, bring on the plants! I’ve a ton of house plants, but outside I’m growing a bunch of herbs; thyme, rosemary, dill, oregano, parsley, cilantro, mint, basil, LOTS of basil! I’ve got a couple pepper and tomato plants going too, hope they work out! I haven’t had a good a good tomato in ages!

In the greenhouse I have 12 kinds of tomatoes going, 5 kinds of peppers, eggplants, ground cherries, lettuce, swiss chard, luffa sponges, oregano, basil, cilantro, parsley. I’m sure I’m forgetting some though. For flowers I have zinnias, marigolds, strawflowers, and gloriosa daisies. I know I’m starting a few other flowers this weekend. All of my strawberry & rhubarb plants are up which always makes me happy! I have to start some other more quick growing plants within the next few weeks though. There’s a bunch of stuff I’m just directly seeding in the garden, so no need to start it now. Pretty soon I’m going to be over run with tomato plants! About two months ago people started requesting plants ahead of time to “reserve” theirs, haha. I’m redoing a lot of my flowerbeds this year & I’m excited about that! Last year the deer just ruined so many flowers, but at least they stayed away from my veggies 🙂
