Hrm…I thought I read that morganite has a hardness of 7.5-8, which really isn’t bad. I can’t way from any personal experience.  You could also look into a peach sapphire, which is harder than morganite and scores a 9 on Mohs Hardness Scale.

I don’t have one, but do you now if it’s gets smudged easily? Obviously that’s not as important as it chipping, but my aquamarine smudges a lot and I hate cleaning it all the time for it to look decent. I don’t know if that’s an issue with morganite or not.

I have a morganite ering and I love it! So far haven’t had any issues with it scratching or chipping. I am very happy with my choice and I was very skeptical at first too.

@floridagirlblue:  I have noticed that it smudges easily but I still love it. Just gotta make sure you don’t wear it in the shower or doing dishes etc.
