I got my gown at a consignment shop for $300 Im also an older/second time bride and didn’t want to wear white. This is a lovely peachy blush, in person.

I highly recommend looking at bridal consignment stores. They often have bridesmaids and more non-traditional options, too.

My dress is an Oleg Cassini from David’s Bridal πŸ™‚ The cellphone-pic-taken-in-the-mirror doesn’t quite portray the color accurately. It’s a dark blush with rose gold detailing (the picture kind of downplays the pink hue to it). I was immediately drawn to it because the color is so unique. It’s like if blush and champagne had a baby! πŸ˜› Hahaha

Right now, I only have the cell phone pics people took (the professional ones aren’t done yet), but this one shows a good deal of my dress. The wedding was peacock themed, and I found this dress at Ross for $10, baby! The shrug thingy I got online for, like, $7 or something. I wore peacock feathers in my hair with a matching brown, blue, and green wig πŸ™‚ (I’m wearing a different wig in this picture.)

The top is Oscar de la Renta, bought on Ebay for $76.  The skirt was handmade to my measurments, purchased on Etsy for $90.  I intend to add some sort of wrap/shawl thing for the outdoor ceremony since it’ll be December.

We decided to just do a couthouse wedding but I still wanted a nice dress. I got it on amazon for $45. Still waiting for it to arrive though.

This is my dress, got it from ModCloth. I plan to wear a slightly-pink long and sheer cover-up with it for the ceremony.

Mine is a very subtle blue color! I still think it’s overall pretty traditional, but not the standard white dress!
