Hello ladies do any bees out there have pcos? Polycystic ovarian syndrome? I was diagnosed about a year ago and went for a scan and revealed I had a blood cyst on my right ovary. They said the cyst was too small to medicate or remove surgically but told me to keep an eye on it. They did however put my on estrogen tablets which I ended up stopping taking. I really didn’t like the side defects; I was moody, my breasts got bigger, I felt horrendous. Out of the blue the last couple of weeks I’ve been getting stabbing pains around the area of my right ovary and am terrified that something has happened. I’m seeing my doctor tomorrow but don’t have a lot of faith in her. The doctors in my area are terrible. She is always dismissive of me and my concerns and I have tried the other doctors and they are just as bad. I can’t change GPs again. I know this isn’t just my concern, in my area, the quality off doctors is a massive local issue.
so I’m looking for some advice From other women with pcos. I know the pains are either the cysts growing so large is pressing on my organs, or that in worst case scenario, it’s ruptured. What can I expect to happen next?
