Wear the glasses you feel comfortable in! You bought them for a reason–just rock them in your gown!

I wear glasses almost all the time, but I can see without them (as long as I don’t need to read anything more than 12 in from my face). I’m not going to wear mine for the wedding, but you’re clearly in a different boat.

I know someone who had a similar situation as you, and based on the pcitures it looks like she didn’t wear her glasses for the ceremony but did for the rest of the day/some of the formal photos.

I definitely would not buy a new pair of glasses just for the wedding. I think that’s a complete waste.

When you bought your glasses, you probably tried on a bunch of frames and ended up picking the ones that flattered you most and were most “you”.  Therefore you probably won’t get much better than what you already have.  I’d say don’t get new ones unless you want them.

As for pictures, go with what will make you feel best.  Don’t feel bad if you want to wear them for the photos – I’m sure you’ll look beautiful!

I would totally buy a new pair for the wedding… My glasses are casual but i would want something special to add to my face 🙂 It all depends on how much you love ur current glasses.

Oh shiz, I didnt even think about this!

I wear glasses to drive, watch tv… that sort of thing. I don’t wear them ALL THE TIME. But… I would like to be able to see my FI whil walking down the aisle!! I’m thinking pony up the money for contacts. Try them out before hand and only wear them for the wedding.

But back to you… I would at least try to find a new pair of frames 🙂 wedding frames if you will!… and if you don’t find any, it’s fine… Just wear the ones you already own.

I wear glasses most of the time but am not going to walk out in front of traffic if I don’t, so would probably go without when the time comes/ get contacts sorted, but for you if you don’t have any option just rock the pair you have unless YOU want new glasses but is sounds like more hassle than it’s worth. I am sure for the photos you can do some with and some without your glasses.

I am so glad I am not the only one with this dilemma!

I have a pair of glasses I wear everyday and I was just going to where those.  However, I have the transition lenses, which I love.  I didnt want it to look like I was wearing sunglasses all day because it is an outdoor event.  So, I decided I am going to go and find new glasses.

I say wear what you’re most comfortable in!

For me, glasses are pretty recent, but my sight is going quickly & I can’t see without my glasses anymore. Because I’m used to my face without glasses, I’ll more than likely wear contacts.

I have transitionals so I was planning on wearing contacts for the ceremony and for the pictures and then switching back to my glasses for the indoor reception because I find them more comfortable. I would wear whatever is comfortable for you though. It’s your eyes so do what’s best for you.

I wear glasses 24/7, and I would vote for contacts if it was a poll option.

Mr. C & I both wear glasses.  We did buy glasses for the wedding, but they’re identical to everyday glasses, just with anti-glare lenses so they’re easier to photograph.  His normal lenses are the ones that tint and our ceremony is outside – I insisted on non-tinting lenses because I want to see his eyes when we get married.  I see nothing wrong with your everyday glasses at all.

And can I just say, what the heck is with people voting you go blind?!?
