I have the same problem with Jackson.  He has a thick undercoat in the winter and “blows” his coat in the Spring.  It’s EVERYWHERE, even when he’s not blowing his coat. IDK if there is anything you can do to decrease it.  I’m sure it’s even worse with your hardwood floors.

@Take The Reins:  I have a friends dog that I like to pet like your babysitter does. The hair just falls out and I make big balls of fur. I throw it out and vaccuum when I’m done though.

We have a beagle and an american eskimo that both shed like mad! And hardwood floors — we furminate the eskimo, and just brush the beagle (she doesn’t like the furminator). We also have hardwood floors and I sweep every day and I vacuum a couple times per week. I’ve also taken a dryer sheet and wiped off all of the baseboard moldings (thank you pinterest) so that the hair doesn’t stick to the moldings — that was a huge nightmare! And the dogs are no longer allowed in the kitchen because it was more often than not that we would eat dog hair with dinner because it was ALL OVER THE PLACE! We do have the eskimo groomed on a quarterly basis, which helps keep things at bay with him — one groomer that we went to refused to cut his hair because they said it would never grow back, I went elsewhere and never looked back, we’ve never had any issues with his hair not growing back or coming back weird…I’d check into another groomer to see what they say! Good luck =)

We have a furminator too, but I notice that when I don’t brush her for a while, she sheds less.  Backwards logic? Worth a try?  My dog’s hair is totally different than yours though:

You can try changing her food. I have a boxer cross and I found when I had him on a better dog food he actually shed less.

I give them a powder form of supplement called NuPro, It also has alot of goodness for better health,, It does help with the shedding but Ive tried alot of products and nothing stops it..
