I have rosecea and everything either makes it worse or dries it out and it gets flaky.  The only thing that tends to work is Aveda products.

I have very, very pale Irish skin so I feel your pain. In terms of skincare, I use Renee Rouleau products (in her line I’m skin type 3) and it’s transformed my skin. People comment on it all the time, it’s so clear now. I use Alima mineral foundation and Mizon Snail Repair BB Cream (Korean BB cream but I order it online ans it’s formulated for acne-prone skin and helps with getting rid of acne scars). I’ve been using the Alima for 7+ years and it’s never made me break out and I’ve been using the Mizon for 7+ months with no issues. I have the most acne-prone skin imaginable and both my skincare and make-up routines have worked absolute wonders for me.

I’m shocked you can’t use Bare Minerals. I have super sensitive/reactice/acne-prone skin and Bare Minerals doesn’t break me out. Have you tried Everday Minerals? Maybe compare the ingredients to those in Bare Minerals–I don’t remember what’s in Bridesmaid or Best Man, but EM has like four ingredients.

@smcopp89:  Jane Iredale was recommended to me by my hairstylist, and  I have slowly begun using her products. I have very acne prone and sensitive skin, and no problems with it and have been using it for about 8 months now:

Another drugstore brand I use that doesn’t irritate me is Neutrogena Skin Clearing foundation and concealers. It may be too harsh for you, but it is pretty inexpensive and hasn’t given me any issues

@vorpalette:  I tried Bridesmaid or Best Man too but for some reason I found it really hard to get off:/ I had to scrub and scrub in a way I’ve never had to with other make-up.

I use nude by nature mineral makeup.

I make sure I moisturise your skin twice a day if I don’t it becomes more sensitive.  I have to buy everything for sensitive skin.

I hardly use any, I break out and get flaky…

What are you looking for – eye makeup, countouring, just powder or everything?

Origins has an awesome line of makeup.  I use the powder as founation and the mascara is awesome if you have super sensitive needs.

For “skin care” I just cleanse my face with baby shampoo (bonus is that it also takes off eye makeup without stinging eyes) and I use witch hazel for astringent.  Super cheap and the most gentle stuff I’ve found!

This is a great article written by one of my all time besties who has struggled with sensitive skin … It’s worth a read and she suggests a ton of products, all of which she’s tried! Check it out 🙂
