The band of my e-ring is 1.9mm at its widest point and I am thinking of getting a 1.9mm wedding ring to go with it. I’ve found a gorgeous eternity band online and I’m thinking of having a jeweler recreate it for me in palladium, or if not getting a plain palladium band made (either one 1.9mm wide).
If you have a band of 2mm or less, I’d like to know what your experience has been. Do you love the daintiness or wish you had gone thicker? All the women I know seem to have 3mm bands… will mine look “substantial” enough next to theirs?
Have you ever had problems with the diamonds coming out or is it fine?
Do people know you’re married when they see your thin band?
Feel free to share a pic! Thank you 🙂

@Audrey2: I dont have a wedding band yet, but my e ring is 2mm. I love it, and would not have it any other way. I have short fingers and I dont need anything else making them look any more chubby. 🙂 Diamonds in a small mm band are perfectly fine. 🙂

@katy13: this is exactly what I want too! 🙂 my issue is that Future Mother-In-Law has already put aside her parents wedding bands for us because I’m a sook and can’t say no to her! Enjoy your perfectly perfect wedding band my dear! And please show a photo once you have it so I can stare at it on here all day! hehe

i have a half eternity that is 1.5-1.7mm, and my ering is 2mm.

My engagement ring is 0.8mm at its thinnest point (where it tapers in to meet the diamond) and 2mm at its widest (round the back. I will be having a 2mm diamond wedding ring, and I think they perp perfect together! Dainty, but because its diamond, they still stand out!

@Audrey2: I have a 1.8mm pave band (1/3 around) and a 3mm palladium band for occassions where I don’t want to wear diamonds. The 1.8mm looked great with my e-ring! I don’t have the ring anymore, and the 1.8 looks lonely by itself, so now I have been wearing the 1.8 and 3mm together. I was surprised it looks good since I have short fingers. Then again, the e-ring was also about 3mm

I wear my band alone every work day, and I love how simple and dainty it looks. My ering brings the sparkle when I wear it, but I didn’t want to have to worry about banging it around. My tiny diamonds have been perfectly safe in the band as well.

Both my e-ring band and wedding band are just under 2mm. I’ve been wearing them together for 1.5 years now with no issues.

@s0905: do you have a picture? I’m also looking for thin rings!

My e-ring band is 1.3mm (most of the way eternity except for the bottom) and my wedding band will be the same 1.3mm with full eternity micro-pavé diamonds.
(sorry, not the clearest picture)
I LOVE the look of thin delicate bands!
I’ve already told my Fiance that I want a mismatached one like this for a third band as a push present when we have our first baby haha:

I love my small band! It’s a 1.4mm palladium if I remember right. I’m hard on rings and this sucker is holding strong after a year. I never take it off and it’s held up great!
I added a real gold band for comparison for how hard I am on rings. Lol
