Mine is less than 2 mm but I am not sure how small it is. I got the same size band to go with it. I have such short fingers that anything bigger was just overwhelming.

Muffin top is due to heat. We decided to go on a walk and he proposed during the 5 mile walk.

Both my engagement ring & wedding band are each just under 2mm.  One has diamonds in the band & the other is hand engraved.  I love the daintiness – I don’t like thick bands – and yet they’re plenty strong.

@adoc86:  does it bother you having your band not sit flush with the e-ring?  I have a halo that doesn’t allow the band to sit flush and I am not a fan of the bent/curved bands that would go around the ring.  I don’t know if I could handle having the rings sit so far apart though.

I’m not yet married but here is a pic of my wedding band ๐Ÿ™‚ I do love it, dainty and compliments my e-ring perfectly! Both small and quaint! ๐Ÿ™‚ not sure of the exact width tho..maybe a couple mm?

@kelseyrose:  I actually was going for that look so I don’t mind it at all. I really don’t like wraps or perfectly fitted rings. Mine can actually go a little closer together than whats in the pic because my halo sits up high enough to allow the bands to be almost flush – I just don’t want them to be.

@adoc86:  Hmm it does look better to me than wrap bands, perhaps I’ll look into it. Thanks!

@NewYorkLady:  Love your ring!  Mine is very similar, and I’ve actually had set pinned as inspiration since we got engaged!  I love the way it looks.

@emelee:  Thanks! Smile You mean you’ve had that same second picture pinned?  I love the mismatched one as a third. Thin band stacks rock!

Mine’s a family heirloom and is super thin.  It’s very obviously a wedding band when I wear it alone.  (Not that I really do, since I’m not married yet.)

I was worried about this for the reasons you say: not looking substantial enough and not looking ‘married’! I think I actually got quite obsessive over it!

In the end I had to go that thin because my ering band is very, very thin. Anything thicker looked silly next to it.

But as soon as I started wearing it for real, seriously, I love it. It looks so elegant to me and definitely like a wedding ring – so no worries there!

Also it’s so thin that I forget i’m wearing it, which is nice. I think thicker might bother me.

Here is pro and then a not very good own pic!:

@chillinchillin:  Thanks! The pic of the set aren’t my rings.. just inspiration from pinterest for what I want. ๐Ÿ™‚  Sadly I won’t get the mismatched one for at least 2-3 years when we have a baby. I want it now! haha :p

Both my engagement ring and wedding band are 1.3mm wide (plain metal bands). I really love how dainty they are, and that, together, they are STILL dainty! Like you, I wonder at times I wonder if I should have gone for something more substantial, but that’s really not my style, nor would a wider band suit my fingers. My hand definitely looks married. ๐Ÿ™‚
