Solitaire. The halo cheapens the look somehow. (I am not normally a halo hater, I just don’t like your lovely princess cut with one.)

@MrsOliveBird:  That’s interesting because I felt the exact opposite.  I don’t really like princess cuts, so maybe that’s why, but I thought the halo made the ring much more elegant and “rich” – more luxury than without the halo.  And I’m really not a huge halo fan.  I only like them sometimes.

I don’t strongly like or dislike halo. I will say that is a killer rock and it certainly didn’t need the halo.

I think that stone should get more attention. I like it without.

I think the halo takes away from the stunning princess cut.  What are you thinking about in terms of a wedding band?

i think the halo kills the ring. it looked better without the halo. and i usually dont go for solitaires.

I prefer it as a solitaire but it’s really your opinion that’s the most important.

I think your stone is so absolutely gorgeous on its own, but your opinion is the one that matters

I love halo settings! I think it looks good with and without. Just depends on if you prefer more showy or more refined 🙂

Definitely prefer the Solitaire. However in the end it doesn’t matter what a bunch of strangers online think.. You are the only one who can decide what you love most and enjoy wearing.

i love halos but i have to say that i prefer your solitaire over the halo.  it’s a beautiful stone on it’s own.  what size is it?

i don’t know what it is about that particular halo.  i think the centre stone is sitting too high up and there’s too much of a gap between the diamond and the halo.  i prefer them when the centre stone is bit more snuggled into the halo setting.

personally, i think this looks like an afterthought.  i wouldn’t be pleased with it.

why do you want to add to your solitaire?  there are other ways to do so.  have you looked at trillion cut side stones?  a very classic look.
