I just posted this in the October 2013 thread but thought I’d put it here too since this is the thread that gave me the motivation to start.
My before and progress photo! I’m feeling a million times better about myself than I did in April, it’s amazing what exercise and cutting out cookies can do 🙂

I haven’t lost much (6-7 lbs at 5’5″?) but I can definitely tell the difference – I’m sure I’ve toned up / gained muscle too. I’ve been trying to cut out most processed sugars and carbs and have been doing a lot of running / mountain biking / Insanity.

I will share mine, even though I’m not quite at my goal yet. I took the after pictures in a similar outfit, I actually don’t have the black shorts anymore, because they don’t stay up at all. The purple shorts in the after are two sizes smaller.
Before, at 220 lbs, I am 5’8. This is not my heaviest, at my heaviest I was 235 lbs, this is a few weeks in to my weight loss journey, which started in June 2011.
And these are from today. I’m 160 lbs, so down a total of 75 lbs so far. I would like to lose another 20 lbs and get really toned, but it’s been slow going since I hit about 170 lbs. I just keep doing what I know works and I am still slowly losing weight.
You can even see my exercise equipment in the back of this picture! It’s a bit of a mess right now, because I just moved into my condo and have had such a busy summer that I haven’t had any time to buy furniture or organize. The bike trainer was the best present I ever got, because it means that even in the dead of winter I can do cardio at home. In the summer I mostly run, only ride the bike if it’s raining. Food was the biggest change for me though, I used to eat so much! Now it’s like my stomach has gotten smaller, and I often can’t finish a big meal. I’ve learned that I don’t have to clean my plate, that veggies make the best snacks, and that it’s okay to eat unhealthy every once in a while, but not every day!

@MrsPanda99: Thank you! I’m always surprised when I look at the before pictures, and I’m so glad I took them, even though I was pretty uncomfortable with pictures of my body at that time.

Wowza! Look at those curves. So inspiring!

Before (not sure how much I weighed but I’m about a size bigger than I like being)
After (no spanx). Not sure how much I lost but I’m back down to my normal size, maybe a bit smaller. It’s not a drastic difference but I don’t feel self-conscious about a tummy bulge and I won’t bother with spanx which will make me way more comfy. And I don’t hate my arms as much 🙂

I’ve taken up heavy lifting and lost 14.1kg (31lb) since January (having already lost 5kg (11lb) last year July-January).
77.1kg – January 2013
63.1kg – September 2013
And a bonus shot of the first time I zipped up a size UK 8/US 4.
I’ve still got about 8kg to lose (17.6lb) and then I’m going to bulk a bit for competition. I’m entering my first powerlifting contest in April next year and I want to be in tip top shape!
