FH is at a softball tourney all wknd, so I decided to replace the bushes we killed and tidy up the front of our house a bit. Headed to Lowe’s, got some bushes and perennials, and picked up a couple potted plants for the driveway! Just wanted to share – b/c really no one cares but me. LOL
Before, w/ dead bushes, loose hose, and dying flowers:
After – new bushes, perennials (I’m bummed you can’t see them yet b/c they’re so short!) and pots by the garage:
I know, the grass is dead – but I can’t fix that in one morning. LOL!

Very nice! I’m not sure how much gardening I’m going to do here, AL is too friggin hot!

You did a good job! I’ll fill-out really nicely when the plants get bigger.

That looks great! I’m always looking for suggestions, so I’ll share my thoughts. If you don’t care, please ignore.
Have you thought about painting your house numbers white? They might pop more (maybe its just a bad picture though).
Also, I love your front entrance, have you thought about adding a rail to make it more pronounced?
Shutters/flower boxes would also look great!

OOO Caszos I love those suggestions! I just moved in here with my fiance 6 months ago – he’s lived here 3 years. He didn’t do much with the place, now I’ve redecorated the kitchen, living room, gotten new furniture, new bed, decorated the bedroom.. bathroom…. LOL! Now onto the outside! I’ll mention your ideas!! I love the thought of painting the numbers white – then they’d be much more visible!

OMG you guys! Just plain black shutters would make it look so much nicer! I was messing around in Paint and did this and LOVE it!

Nice work! I think the black shutters would look great as well. It’s amazing how minor changes like that can totally alter the way a house looks.
