He was checking a tracking number on his phone and being really sneaky about it… but not very well. (He ordered my ring and was waiting on it to arrive.) He would check his phone and turn it away from me, but I’d be able to see the little FedEx tracking screen reflected in something, LOL. Poor guy.

He was going on “errands” that I couldn’t go with him and he couldn’t tell me about. He also kept talking about our future and how he couldn’t wait to be married to me.

He kept suggesting we go out for dinner on a particular night and was making a big deal about a present he was getting for me. He thinks he was being subtle with the hints and what he was saying but he so wasn’t.

He was super secretive about his phone, but other than that he was normal. I knew he had ordered it already, so I knew it was coming. But he wanted to keep what the ring looked like and when he was going to do it, completely under wraps.

I was hinting or more than hinting forever about getting married, but he wanted to do it right, with the ring like he said. He was shopping for that ring for 2 month and had for almost a week before proposal and I had no idea. Although, he was really participating in my decision on what to wear that night for dinner:) like he said-I knew you would wanna keep the dress from proposal night forever:D

normal. But, then again I knew every detail of what was going on with the ring.

Normal except I caught him in one lie and I knew why he lied. He said he was someplace else than he actually was (buying the ring).

He was actually very relaxed and normal. I knew it was happening though, even though he didnt know I knew.

Normal and I had no idea he was proposing. I tried to look back and see signs but nothing!! Even that day I didn’t notice anything weird. He said he only got a little nervous right before, but it felt natural and he knew I’d say yes!

We spent the week before the proposal planning it together, and we were open about it so no weirdness at all.

We had decided we were getting engaged and I had chosen my ring, but I told him I would still like him to ‘ask’ traditionally, I guess so I could have the experience. We chose everything together though – the hotel we stayed at, the beach where he would propose, etc.

In retrospect it was a lovely weekend, but the formal ‘proposal’ probably wasn’t that neccessary. I’m still glad we did it though, it was sweet.

Completely normal, apart from him suggesting a last-minute trip (he wanted to propose abroad) which wasn’t like him, but, he said it was because he needed a break (his mum had been in hospital for 3 months and it was an extremely stressful time for all of us) and I believed him. Otherwise, he was just his usual self.
