@MissBettsy:  My mom is like you, she LOVES the spotlight.  In fact, she’s always been like that.  Of course, my mom is really pretty, so she always got attention growing up.  I, on the other hand, am the opposite.  I was pretty fat for middle school and high school (worst time to be fat as a kid, although I think kids can be pretty cruel at any age), so I was always awkward.  Even though I grew out of being overweight, I still feel like that fat kid in 8th grade (I voted for cupcakes), so extra attention just makes me uncomfortable.  While I’m not anti-social, I’d rather participate as part of the crowd.

I love the attention.  I am a spot light wh***!

My fiance, however, is extremely shy.  We help balance each other out Smile

It really depends on the situation. I am extremely comfortable with public speaking, heck, I do it for a living. In social situations, I tend to be in the background unless I am the hostess.

I’m not one to hog the lime-light or insist all eyes are on me (people like that annoy me!), nor am I one to hide in a corner.

I’m confident, I enjoy socialising and meeting new people, I have no issues with public speaking, and when I danced, I loved performing. But I don’t seek attention, or court it particularly, and I think there’s a difference.

Oh hell no. I hate crowds and large groups!

Granted, I do love public speaking. I did it a ton in high school, and I was very comfortable. So in certain circumstances where I am presenting on something I am confident on, I do well.

Fingers crossed I am magically okay on the wedding day? I’ll probably be shakey and nervous, but oh well.

Cupcakes… I like to be in the mix, but I don’t particulary care to have all eyes on me.

I voted cupcakes. I hate being the center of attention, but if there is something tasty to distract me, I can usually suppress my painfully shy nature. I mean, come on, cupcakes. Totally worth it.

Fiance and I aren’t really spotlight people, but we LOVE spending time around people who are! We’re really “support players”!

On our wedding day, however, we can’t WAIT to be the center of attention!

If I’ve planned something (a speech, a presentation) I don’t mind being in the spotlight.

If it’s on the spot, it totally freaks me out!
