I’m a good 2 or 3 years off the wedding date and I can’t help but look at wedding dresses already.
I’ve fallen in love with 2 dresses (one I already had my eye on prior to our engagement) Is this really bad? Has anyone else looked at dresses way ahead of schedule?
Also I’m wondering has anyone got pictures of them in either of these dresses at all?
So here they are… I’m a UK 6/8 which I believe to be US 2/4?
Benjamin Roberts Style: 2228 – Love this dress!!
Alfred Angelo Style: 8400 (which happens to be Bella Swan’s dress in Twilight) which makes me feel silly, but I love the traditional style of the dress and the way it clings to curves…

I love the back of the Alfred Angelo Style: 8400!!!! so sexy!!! But definatly prefer the Benjamin Roberts Style: 2228 over all
My wedding wont be for a few years either and I keep looking too!!! My sister told me I was a monster HAHAHAHAH
I caught bride fever like nothing else!!!

I’m not yet engaged but I’m already here… and I’ve already fallen in (and out) of love with a number of dresses. I’m a bit worried about how much my tastes have already changed in the month or so that I’ve been lurking! I hope that changes once I start trying on dresses.

@MabelleBliss: Me too! I found my dream dress in a sample sale!

Haha ladies, we’re horrible, no wonder our guys feel the pressure!
I have also searched dresses and definately know what i’ll be requesting to try on once I have a ring on my pretty little finger 😉

I’ve been looking at dresses all week 🙂

I would say wait to purchase but looking doesn’t hurt. I looked for a LONG time and then I put a deposit down on a dress I thought I liked before I even got the ring!!! I ended up changing my mind about the dress and purchasing a new one (the new one hasnt came in yet but 1 more wk 2 go!) so be very careful about this. There are reasons why there are SO many dress regret posts on here! I thought I would never get dress regret and I did and I had to pay for it… LITERALLY!

I started looking at dresses a few months before we got engaged. We had talked and I knew it was coming. Plus I love all things wedding dresses 🙂

I definitely browsed online before we got engaged. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.

I’ve been looking at dresses online for months, and I’m not engaged yet. Granted, I’m not planning to go try anything on until I have a ring…but looking doesn’t hurt 🙂

Isn’t the alfred angelo supposed to be a knock off of the wedding dress in breaking dawn? (Never actually saw the movie but read an article about alfred making a dress like the one in the movie.)

@Blue Rose: Yes it is, I saw the film a while ago now and I’m very much built like her and thought woaah that looks cool. Looking through old Angelo’s site and it caught my eye 🙂
Showed the other half the dress today, to see if he would recognise it from the film (of course he wouldn’t) annnnnnd
He didn’t recognise the dress and instantly said “I really like that, you’d look amazing in it… Also it leaves a little to the imagination“
me: “It’s Bella’s dress from Twilight… Hrrrm I wonder if they sell hunky vamps”
him: “Urgggh infact, I hate it”
him again: “Can’t you just go for a dress that shows your legs and your boobs, it’s not just your day you know, I mean I know you’ve been looking at dresses all your life, but it’s my day too”
me: *Left dreaming of Edward Cullen*
I guess, I’ll steer clear of that dress in future and thank you ladies – I no longer feel guilty about having a good browse. Tehehe 🙂

A year and some change and I got engaged less than a month ago and I’m already on the hunt. I haven’t found anything that I absolutely love yet, but I’m sure it’s going to be A-line or Fit&Flare (because I showed Fiance all the styles, and each one he went “nononono” at except for these two styles, which was a “hell yeah!”) lol.

I’ve looked too. And I’m going again Friday! I don’t think it’s a huge issue if you are someone who stays the same size, and obviously stops shopping once you buy one!
