I tried to post to you directly, but the reply function is not working. I know I don’t post on here too often, but I have been following your story and I am in South Florida. Fort Lauderdale area, to be more specific. I have lived here my entire life, yes Florida definitely has some weirdos but I know all the areas where you could get assistance pretty well. Please feel free to message me for support. I am also a nurse and may be able to help out with domestic violence resources, etc. Feel free, don’t be shy. The worst part is feeling alone. Take care of yourself.

stressedlady :  Haha, so I am a conservative Republican, but I think both sides can have a sense of humor about this. I’m going to add Trump ( he has a house in Florida) to your list of “interesting…” people connected to Florida ^^^. LOL

Maybe this explains a lot. LOL Okay, I know have been up too late studying for finals – I am laughing at my own jokes. Goodnight bee! We are all right here whenever you want /need.

stressedlady :  Hey Bee, I’m so glad to hear you’re keeping it together and creating a plan to get yourself out of this situation. I hope you are able to take a minute and be really proud of the way you’re handing this! I know how it feels to wake up one morning and have your whole life change. I suspected my ex-h of cheating for about 6 months before I caught him, but once I did… the floodgates opened. He wasnt the man I thought I knew and I think deep down I knew that. But like you, i had learned to ignore red flags or intuition because it was “easier” and caused for less confrontation or awkward conversations. I have spent the last 2 years learneing to trust myself and the last year learning to trust someone else and let me tell you.. It’s amazing! Dont get down on yourself! I know it’s hard not to but you did the best you could with that you’d been given and now you’ll do better with what you have! Take time for youself and figure out what makes you happy. Once YOU’RE happy, you wont settle for someone who isnt great for you. Wishing you all the best & please keep updating! You’re absolutely not alone in this. lots of us have been there and are happy to chat or support you any way we can.

How’s it going bee? I’m in CA but I wish I could grab a cup of coffee with you. Can you live with family for a month or so?

The more you post about this guy and your history with him, the worse he sounds. Even without this incident there is no question that you should be leaving. I’m very glad you are taking steps in that direction.

You sound like a very together, intelligent woman and  I know you’ll be OK. Hang in there and good luck!

It sounds like you have a very good therapist! That gut instinct advice she gave you is absolutely a big part of what I had to learn. It’s so easy to rationalize and justify things and then feel crazy for having a terrible feeling about it. Especially when you have a partner that rationalizes it and gaslights you. It’s impressive that you trusted that instinct in this situation.
