I am considered wealthy. But im not a goldigger. The man i am marrying simply is weakthy. I met him in HS and we were in the same classes. So now hes currently a mathematician. I am in graduate school. His family is old money in Thailand, and he inherited it. I could be an idol rich and never have to work, but i will. I still want to. I stand on my own 2 feet and could live without him, so i hate when people call me a goldigger. I dont see the fascination with it, and i grew up in a high middle class family, whats the big deal? Yes, we bought a home in beverly hills. Yes, i take trips to europe and tours travelling is my life i love history! I do give my money to chairity, so im not all bad

Why not just enjoy it… not all of us get that kind of opportunity… Besides what does it matter what people say about you anyway.

As long as you both know you are doing this for love and not money, don’t pay attention to what others think. you are just lucky and they are likely jealous.

@dicapriosimaginarywife: Honestly, every economic level of life has it’s benefits and drawbacks. So I really don’t focus on the things you mentioned. Rich people have problems, poor people have problems. It’s a fact of life.

Who cares? What’s the point of this thread?

And you posted this why ??
Sounds to me like you have your act together for the most part… so like I said, I don’t see what was the reason to post this.
A declaration… of what ?

Rich people need wives too…. good for him for finding someone who’s not a gold digger. I say enjoy and ignore the people who question it if they’re wrong.

I guess I don’t understand what the point of your post is? Congrats on your wealth angst? I’d rather have wealth angst than, say, be a 7-year-old little girl in Cambodia who can’t afford to go to school and spends her days pouring roadside gas into motorbikes. Have you been to your DH’s homeland? You really should. Thailand/Cambodia/Laos/Vietnam will put a lot of things into perspective for you.

What is the point of this? Are you venting because people are calling you a golddigger?
