My fiance and I went to a wedding October 2nd. He chipped in for a grooms gift, it was a bike. I was stressing over a million little things so I went empty handed knowing I could order something off their registry. These aren’t close friends so much as they are aquantences. The guys all grew up together and now see each other maybe twice a year. I’ve only seen the bride maybe 5 times over 4 years, just to give some background on our closeness.
I just ordered 2 things (63$) off her registry with a note apologizing for the belated gift and saying congratulations again. It should be there next Friday.
Is this at all acceptable? :/

That is perfectly acceptable. You have the whole first year to get the couple a gift!

I think it’s fine! She’ll probably be more excited about your gift because it will come on it’s own and not with waves of other presents at the wedding!

You have nothing to worry about.

That’s totally fine! I know she’ll be happy to get it. This is why people tell you to leave the registry up after the wedding.

You’re totally fine! You’re going to make the bride smile for sure when she gets the gifts and your note. Slightly late gifts for a wedding are still considered polite and thoughtful. I’d be embarrassed if it were six months late.
