I’m looking to get my SO a Belgian Waffle Maker for Christmas. Does anyone have any recommendations? According to one of the review sites, the Presto FlipSide (http://www.amazon.com/Presto-FlipSide-Belgian-Waffle-Maker/dp/B000TYBWIG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1290763709&sr=8-1) was the best flip maker. I think the flipping action is neat (and this waffle maker stores upright which is cool as well), but I’m not sure the flipping is necessary so any other recommendations would be appreciated as well!

I got this one last year for Christmas and it gets used all the time! Ours has the “flip” motion too and I’ve actually never seen a belgian waffle maker not have the “flip” part of it. We’ve never had a problem with it but because it is so large it sucks to have to take it out of the pantry for each use.

I want a waffle maker also and was trying to decide between that one and the waring pro one at bed bath for $80. The flipping is a MUST for me, it makes such a difference. A friend of mine has that presto one and loves it. She said the waffles are great. Its especially great for smaller kitchens. Another friend of mine has teh waring pro one also and love it too. I think they’re both probably really good. I’ve registered for the waring pro, but if i dont get it, i’d probably buy the presto.
