We were there in September for our honeymoon and we were on an island, so I’m not 100% confident this entirely applies for you, but generally, it rained every night while we were there. Like poured rain for about an hour or so at most, and then it went back to being lovely. It was always after dinner, late at night. It didn’t interrupt anything other than that our villa also had an outdoor bed we weren’t able to take advantage of unfortunately 🙁 Our second to last day a tropical storm blew through, and even at that, it was a couple hours of intense rain and wind, and by lunch we were able to go swimming again. Not a complaint about the weather here!

We visited Belize in November (we got engaged there) and had the exact same experience as @bakerella: – rained hard, then stopped.  We also went cave tubing, the rain actually helps with this activity.  When we went, the water was a little low so at a few spots we actually stood up and walked with our tubes.  They will only shut down the cave tubing if the rain is torrential and therefore brings the water level and currents to an unsafe level.

Just a side note: research tubing companies before you go (if you do go)!  There are lots to choose from and you’re all going to do the exact same thing, one after another, in long lines.  Some charge like, double, what others charge.  And some give you gross/old helmets and tubes.  (One good place to look for reviews on cave tubing companies is on http://www.cruisecritic.com, go to the “Boards” then scroll down to “Ports of Call” then “Caribbean” then “Belize.”  Lots of cruisers do the cave tubing so you’ll get tons of reviews there.)
