It’s not typical for photographers to adjust pricing for all their clients every time they advertise a special, but since they said they would do this, they should.  How much money are we talking about here?

Do you have guarantee writen into your contract or in a written email?  Or was it verbal?  If you have it written, you have a case, and I would keep pressing.  How much how you given them and how much more do you owe them?  (on a % basis)

Unfortunately Bella has the reputation of Used Car Salesmen in the wedding industry. They are widely known for telling the bride whatever they want to hear in order to get them to sign with them. They are also known for good old bait and switch on couples where they think they are getting one photog but another actually shows up for their wedding day. As the don’t pay their Reps or their photogs very much, they have a huge turn over rate and most of them are pretty new to the business. My advice is to read your contract very carefully. If there isn’t anything in there about them giving you a better discount then you are prob out of luck. I would also make sure you know exactly who your photog is going to be and ask to be in contact with them so you are kept in the loop.

Good luck!!

Not a fan of Bella here.  They did our baby hospital shoot and the pictures came out horrible and the woman was rude.  I ended up putting my foot down and telling her to stop the shoot and leave the room.  We didn’t buy any of the pictures (though my Mother-In-Law did).

Bella and The Pros have the same kind of a system where they show you fabulous pictures taken by a great photographer and then send an un-known whatever old guy to shoot for your event. If you can get your money back I would cancel asap

Bella is tough b/c just as mentioned they are contractors…. once the photographer takes the photos Bella does all the back end meaning editing etc.

Have you been able to talk to YOUR photographer directly?

best of luck….

Sorry, but I agree with everyone else.  I considered going with Bella months back but didn’t hear good reviews about them.  I say try to get your money back.  If that’s not possible, fight like heck to get your money back and demand an experienced photographer and insist on seeing their portfolio.

Bella also has been emailing me non stop. They also called me about 4 or 5 times. I actually set up an appt to meet with a consultant but I canceled cause I didn’t feel good about them. They STILL call me even though we picked our photographer. Ugh! Good Luck
