Are you having contractions with the pains? The fact that the pain goes deep into your back would worry me. But hopefully it’s just growth pains from the uterus.
I would go to labour and delivery.

No idea what it could be but if she said go to l&d that’s what I would do.

@sunshine_kar:  Better to go to the hospital and be told it’s nothing than sitting at home being worried. I’d go to l&d.

Good luck and FX for you.

I used to get those sharp shooting pains in my vag and really low in my pelvis around 16-18 weeks and it was nothing. I wasn’t habving them quite as often though, maybe a few times a day. They just stopped all of a sudden. If you’re not sure though, go to l&d.

@sunshine_kar:  Have you felt any more fetal movement?  I didn’t see an update about that…

Also, it could be round ligament pain, I think I remember there being a lot of pinching followed by aching, but I don’t remember now.

Hope you’re feeling better, and when in doubt definitely see a doctor!!

Souds like a kidney stone or kidney infection — I experienced the SAME symptoms just a few days ago and I was diagnosed with a kidney stone. Don’t let the nurses dictate how you’re feeling – you know your body.  Go to the ER and get checked out. Read my post:

@sunshine_kar:  that’s an awful answer! I would at least go see your primary care and make sure you don’t have what PP said, a kidney or bladder infection
