I took mine out early on, I knew it would be uncomfortable and I just didn’t want to deal with it. Plus I’ve had it for 11 years now and was ready to say goodbye to it! I also doubt I’ll ever be in a bikini again so what’s the point haha.

I have had mine for almost 12 years.  Yikes!  I plan to take mine out right after the honeymoon and bikini phase is over.  We plan to start our family in about another year so I want the hole to close and heal so it won’t stretch and look ugly.

Mine’s been pierced for 12 years … I already switched to the smallest little curved barbell I own, as my belly starts to get bigger. My navel itself isn’t stretching yet (I’m 4.5 months), but already as my tummy starts to get bigger, the little ball on the top outside shows through my shirt and looks a little, errrrmmm … trashy, maybe? Fat? I don’t know how to describe it, but I think I may be taking it out soon. The good news is, after being pierced for so long, the hole should hopefully stay open just fine. I got big plans to get my stomach back in shape and put that puppy right back in after baby. BIG plans.

(but you know what they say about the best-laid plans …)

There is special jewelry you can get for pierced navels during pregnancy. I’m not sure what it looks like but I’ve seen it in catalogues.

I had mine pierced and with my first baby the only place I got stretch marks was out of the top of my piercing hole.. I took it out as soon as I found out I was preggo.

I’d take it out. I don’t have one, but @ 37 weeks, my belly button does not stick out, but it is pretty much completely flat.  The skin around it is kind of sore….it doesn’t bug me all the time or anything, but if it gets rubbed or anything, it’s kind of tender. Also, my stomach is so out there that my belly button shows through my clothes! Just something to consider!

I had one for 9 years, I removed it when I hit 20 weeks because it started to feel tight and was painful and slightly red. Now my hole is super flat and I have stretch marks growing from it. I likely won’t put it back in after though.

I don’t have one, but I know that you can get flexible rubber/plastic ones for pregnancy.

I would take it out. I didn’t take mine out when I got pregnant for months, and I don’t know if that’s why or not but the hole stretched out and is still 5 years later gross. The skin on the bottom of the hole is permanantly hanging down and it looks like something is pulling it down but it isn’t.

My body went through he!! with pregnancy but every stretch mark, ever inch of extra skin, everything about the pregnancy was totally worth it
