I’m trying on my dress mid-alterations, and I would like to know if it looks better with our without the belt. I also have a picture with a veil on too. I’m thinking of wearing a veil. Any feedback would be great!
P.S. I know there’s some wrinkling on the top. It will be fixed, hopefully, but I’m not going to stress too much about it. I’ve decided to just be cool about everything.
Here are the pictures.

Belt! It’s too simple on its own, I think.

I usually think belts don’t do much for wedding dresses, but your dress – which is very elegant – could do with one. Since there seems to be some sparkly white embellishment already on the neckline, I would suggest no blingy/silver belts. Instead, something delicate like this one:

I do think the dress needs a belt, but I’m not sure that the one pictured is the best choice. I would consider trying some other belt styles as well. I like the idea of the one posted by the PP.

Thanks! That belt looks great. Good idea. I’m going to look for a more delicate belt, or try to DYI one to be similar to the one you posted.
Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback. I’m getting similar opinions from others.

You’re welcome! The sash I posted is from PrettyCountryBridal, an Etsy shop. At just $18.89, it’s a great price! She does have thinner flower sashes.

Belt for sure, but it can also be a very thin diamond studded belt. It gives your waist a nicer curve which is invisible without belt.

I normally really dislike belts on wedding dresses but yours is elgantly simple enough to manage it. Not the one in the pic though, nor any sort of bling one . More a narrow sash, plain or embroidered like the neckline, or maybe a pearl one ?

Honestly, either or in my opinion. Unless you find a better belt, then I’d probably be team belt 🙂

Normally I love belts but I prefer without. It breaks up your dress too much and my eyes go straight to the belt. Without it, the dress just flows better and is more elegant looking. 🙂
