My Allure dress should be arriving in just a few days and my wedding is only two weeks away! The dress has a flower on the waist that I am not in love with and I have been thinking about adding a thin, gold rhinestone belt. I’m worried though, that with the “cummerbund” style waist on this dress (not sure what the best way to describe it is), the belt wont look good. But I feel like the dress needs something to make it a little more exciting… Any suggestions or advice would be great!
Also my dress is ivory (not white as shown in the photos) and we are having gold accents throughout the wedding. I am also having the spaghetti straps removed.
Sorry I don’t have a photo of me in the dress.
And here is the belt I am thinking of adding:

i like belts but i think you need a wider one than what’s pictured.

There is also a thicker version of the same gold belt if anyone thinks that would look better –

I suggest removing the flower and adding a broach. Keep the rouching belt thing under the flower. that part is key to that dress.

I like the belt that Macky1447 posted. I think it should be a little thick

Nah, I like the flower, it give it another element, I think the dress would be too plain with out it.
I would suggest adding the bling belt AS WELL. See what that looks like. Or just a thin row of crystals to add a bit of bling. Or as suggested adding a brooch, but see if you can add it to the middle of the flower or something.
Best of luck. Upload pics if you can when you have it.

Thanks for your input, ladies! My dress finally came in and after trying it on again I decided that it’s just the feathers sticking out of the flower that I don’t like, so I am going to try removing the feathers and leaving the flower (they are easy to remove). I think I will also add a little bit of sparkly jewlery since I wont have that in the sash.
And here’s a photo of me in the actual dress in case anyone is interested.

Beautiful! I think you are spot on with removing the feathers.
Get some bling-tastic earrings and you’ll be on your way

Can you add a brooch instead?

I think your alterations of removing the feathers will be perfect, and with the gold jewelry it will be beautiful
