I know we all want to look our best on our weddind day. I know a lot of brides think of loosing weight before the big day but I’m curious what other stuff, if anything, you ladies are planning on doing?
For example, I’ve started being better about my skin. I’ve been blessed with good, clear skin so far but I have to admit, I’ve taken it for granted. For the most part, I’m pretty good about cleaning my face before bed but there are times that I just plain forget. (I already know how horrible this is for my skin, so please don’t try to make me feel bad about it!) I’m really dedicated to keeping my skin as fresh and young as possible now. I’m also considering growing out the layers in my hair so it’s all one length until I decide on a wedding style.
What are you doing??

I exfoliated once a week and drank more water. On the advice of my hairdresser I didn’t get my hair cut until 3 weeks before the wedding.

I’m starting to take care of my skin better since I suffer from breakouts. I am also letting my hair grow healthier (no more flat iron for me!). Last but not least, I’m letting my nails grow…I have a terrible nail biting habit which I’m trying to refrain from.

I’m also working on my nails. I, too, am a nail biter. I know its a gross habit but I do it without thinking about it, especially when I’m super stressed. I’ve also started taking biotin. I want to lay off the flat iron but that’s going to be hard for me…it’s going to have to happen in baby steps. lol.
How long did you go without a haircut? I’m getting married in October and think I’ll need to trim the ends at least a couple times before then.

Ooh ages I think 10 months, as I wanted it to grow. I was worried about it looking awful because of dead ends, but it was OK.

Good to know. My hair is already long but I think growing out my layers is going to be quite the process.

Along with dieting and exercise, I have a skin regimine now that has really cleared up my skin and given it glow. I am also going to have my teeth whitened, I am going to start tanning a few weeks before the shower and continue up until the wedding, and the day before the wedding I am having a full body wrap, getting my nails done and having a pedicure.

I’m having a small problem trying to figure out how to bump up my beauty/fitness routine, as it’s something I’ve always been really diligent about. So I need to figure out what I can do to up my game! Since I already work out, eat clean, get my hair done regularly, get manis/pedis regularly, have a killer skincare routine (I highly recommend Sunday Riley products!), I think I’m going to get regular facials starting about 5 months out. I was also thinking about getting semi permanent eyelash extensions. Of course I’ll get a spray tan a few days prior to the wedding. Teeth whitening. Let me know if you ladies have any additional ideas!

I’m taking prenatal vitamins (I’m not pregnant). They’ve really helped with the growth and strength of my nails and hair.

Ditto on drinking more water. I also try to get more sleep in because I never get enough during the night. If I haven’t gotten at least seven hours the night before, I’ll try to sneak in an afternoon nap. It makes me feel so much more refreshed and keeps those dark under eye circles away. Lastly, I been more vigilant about wearing sunscreen especially on my face. No uneven skin tone for me!
