Darling Husband and I want to go to an all-inclusive resort for out first anniversary in the fall. Neither of us have ever been before, so I really don’t know where to start!
Can anyone offer any suggestions? I’m posting this in honeymoons as I’m sure a lot of people have gone on their honeymoons, so some information or details about your experience would be great!

Bumping and posting to follow 🙂
We already have a honeymoon planned in Italy, but we have talked about something like this as our next big trip (possibly for our one year anniversary!) so I’m curious what recommendations people have too!

Bumping again, as I’m so undecided on which AI to pick (FI is letting me pick where we go).
Neither of us want to go anywhere in Mexico – so options would be pretty much anyplace else in the Caribbean. Right now, Sandals has been looked at a lot.

We’ve done a few. My favorite is Couples because of the staff. actities and included excursions. The hubby likes Sandals the best. The quality of their food and other offerings are a little better than Couples, but the staff at Couples made it for me. There are a few others, but these two have been the best all around…at least for us 🙂
It really depends on what area you like, what kinds of activities you prefer and how much you want to spend. Hope this helps, at least a little.

Anyone been to a great all-inclusive in Costa Rica? My husband and I are thinking about planning a week there. We’re very nature/off-resort activity focussed, but don’t want to worry about paying for meals/drinks while we’re on the resort.

Fancibride: Thanks for the suggestions! I will look into it. I have never been to an all inclusive, or anything close, so I don’t even know what activities there could be, or even what the average cost is. I don’t think money is too much of a concern though, however the cheaper the better.
We probably won’t go for very long, maybe 5 days or so. Spending the whole time on the beach/by the pool is kind of what I’m looking for. I’ve always wanted to try out those bars in a pool though – the kind where you swim up to the counter. That’s really cool.

El Dorado Seaside Suites in Riviera Maya Mexico was awesome! My friend got married there in March. Food was great! We stayed in the premium swim up rooms and it was AWESOME! Great pool out your door with a great lunch spot and bar right there. We also went to Paradisus Punta Cana…resort was beautiful but the food was TERRIBLE!

- Wedding: May 2014 - Paradise Gardens
MrsGatito: We did an all-inclusive for our honeymoon in Purto Villarta last year and it was so amaxing we decided to book another one for our one year anniversary in May.
We actually found our honeymoon trip on Groupon through a vacation express voucher. We looked again this year but wanted to stay a longer time so we ended up booking again through the vacation express wedsite. I also looked at travelzoo and jetsetvacations.com.
We enjoyed beign able to relax, not spend additional money, and eat and drink all our little hearts desired! I can’t wait to do it all over again at a different resort/area this may.

This thread is old, but if anyone is still looking, check out Excellence (especially Excellence Riviera Cancun). Look up Excellence in search on the bee — everyone loves it. I’ve been to two of their locations (Riviera Cancun and Playa Mujeres) and I LOVE their hotels. Amazing food, new rooms, nice beaches, and amazing little touches (like the inclusion of hobbycats).
