I’ve been a bridesmaid 4 times. Strangely enough, the wedding where I didn’t get a gift at all wasn’t the worst- the bride is notoriously cheap so it was no surprise. The worst gift was a cheap plastic and fake flower hair comb, like one of the Bridal ones you would find in the wedding aisle at Hobby Lobby or Michaels. It has fake flowers, leaves, and pearls- but the worst part is that the comb had originally been white and the bride had spray painted them peach to match our dresses. They looked so tacky! The best gift I received was from my best riend. I was her Maid/Matron of Honor and her color scheme was sapphire blue, so she got me a sapphire necklace because it’s also my birthstone. The wedding was 8 years ago and I still wear it.
My BMs will be getting pearl pendant and earring sets and floral robes, all from etsy, and I’m paying for their hair/makeup. I also want to get something special for my MOH- I’m thinking the Kate Spade bangle that has a “Partner in Crime” charm.

I have only been a bridesmaid once… years ago. My gift was a Coach wrislet. I still use it constantly so I would consider that a great and practical gift!
I’m not really in the market to be thinking of bridesmaids gifts yet but I randomly found super nice monogram necklaces that I think would be an awesome gift. I’v included the link if you are interested:
But in addition to that necklace, which would be the gift given the night before the wedding, I would also do a bridesmaid box to ask them first. In there I think probably small, simple things like nail polish in the color of the dresses, some info about the wedding, color swatches, small and cute heart stud earrings, and other random stuff. And I think I’m leaning towards floral robes for getting ready over the popular tanks.
I know some people are against the ‘jewelry you want them to wear the day of’ gift but I saw those necklaces and instantly thought they were perfect. Afterall, they are custom to each girl and they aren’t a cheap, thoughtless gift! I would also love to cover the BMs hair and make-up costs for the day of!

Best gift I have received as a bridesmaid was a duffle bag with my name on it. The name doesn’t matter to me but I use the duffle bag almost every time I travel! The worst gift I have received was purple flip flops. Never used them.
I bought my girls coach wristlets, pearl earrings with matching bracelet and necklace, cute flat sandals, a cosmetic bag with emergency kit, shot glasses, tumbler cups, and shirts (i think i want to stay away from them saying bridesmaids so they can wear them again, just not sure what they should say). I want to do inexpensive tote bags that have their favorite quote on the front!

So I have been a bridesmaid about three times, the first two I got jewelry to wear the day of. The most recent I got a cute little ring dish with my initial on it. She also gave us some VS panties when she asked us to be bridesmaids and a really cute keychain bottle opener with a 1940s pin up girl on it for the bachelorette party.
For my 5 bridesmaids I made etched stemless wine glasses with their initial on front and fill lines on back (lowest one said Monday and the highest one said dealing with a crazy bride) as well as their favorite type of wine. This was to ask them to be my bridesmaid.
The night before the big day in planing on giving them
– Silk robes with flowers on them
– Gold bar necklace with first initial engraved on it
– Heel savers because it’s an outdoor ceremony

Her wedding was 6 years ago. I think she’s good.
