We are going on a cruise as a honeymoon/baby moon. I’m not sure where you live but they have ports in LA, Washington, Galveston, New Orleans, Miami, charleston, FT lauderdale, etc. we are leaving out of Port Canaveral (40 min east of Orlando) on Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas. For us, the airfare was as much as the cruise fare. About $1100 pp total. 7 days of relaxation, no cooking, no cleaning, no cell phones. You just can’t cruise past 25 weeks gestation.

We figure we have to fly anyways, but then a decent hotel in Miami/FT Lauderdale is 175 per night, then food and entertainment. It is about the same price as a land vacation but we get to see 3 islands 🙂

We are thinking about renting a house on Lake Michigan on the water (I know, not much help to you!) and it would be really affordable for us!  I love the idea of a baby moon, but I am also so tempted to just save for baby… we’ll see!

Ok, how have I not heard of this?? The wheels are turning… Maybe we’ll Use DH’s mum’s property bond to rent a chalet in Austria or a villa in Spain… Such a good idea, so long as I’m not miserable in my later trimesters.

We had wanted to plan an anniversary trip before baby – now that baby is due in September we decided to add onto a wedding we have to go to in Florida instead of spending the money on two flights. We’re headed to siesta key – I lived near there for a year and it is beautiful! We got a great deal on flights and the place were looking to stay is reasonable and has a kitchen so we don’t have to eat all meals out which will be nice. I can’t wait!!

@BoraBora:  Destin, Pensacola, Perdido Key, Gulf Breeze are all nice areas of FL (can you tell I’m partial to the panhandle) I don’t know anything about AZ or CA though 🙂

We’re going to Myrtle Beach before LO arrives, but I don’t really consider it a babymoon since we’re staying in a 3-bedroom condo with DH’s parents and sister. It won’t be the most romantic vacation but it will be relaxing and inexpensive – we only need to pay for airfare and food.

We just got back from a cruise yesterday (23 weeks).  We did a California coastal leaving from LA because it’s a short, cheap flight from Vancouver.  It was a little…. senior filled.  But the point was to hang out together, so it was pretty fun!  Relax at the pool, eat food, wander a few cities and only have to unpack once.

I REALLY want to go on a babymoon! Im hoping to convince Darling Husband into Hawaii, but that probably wont happen so we will probably just end up going to Florida.
