I know this isn’t “wedding related” but it is gift related… so I’m posting it here. My birthday is like 15 days away and J JUST asked what I wanted. Guys… what do you do with them? Anywho, I was kinda hoping he would wing it and surprise me for once but not happening.
So I’m making a list of a bunch of stuff for him to chose from. The bad thing is, I don’t NEED anything. Seriously, not a thing. I’d love some new Lucky or Miss Me jeans, but I don’t think that’s a good idea to ask for. He’d probably come out with completely the wrong pair. 🙂 But seriously, I have everything I could ever need, and I have no idea what I want.
So Bees what’s the best birthday gift you’ve recieved lately? Oooh, or the WORST… (just for fun.)

Oh come on, NO ONE GETS PRESENTS? Ever? 🙁

My husband is pretty good with his gifts…two years ago he got me a sewing machine I’d been eyeing (that I use all the time), last year he got me a pair of beautiful gold hoops, and this year he got me a Canon Rebel DSLR camera so we could take good photos of McBebe (once he or she arrives).
The worst was a “Killer clown bobble-head” figurine from my father when I was 18 or 19. He knows how much I dislike clowns…

New car stereo from my husband this year! I was jumping up and down lol, so happy. He took my car to get it installed while I was in the shower/getting dressed. He’s not usually a tricky guy but he surprised me REALLY well with that one!
Worst ever would be…hmm. I can’t really think of any down right horrible ones so that’s good. I always hated getting clothes as gifts when I was little though. Like why on earth would someone get a 7 year old sweaters for a bday instead of toys? Just didnt understand it.

@pinkshoes: Oooo pretty!
Hmmm, best birthday gift… I don’t know. An upperclassman gave me a piece of cheesecake when I was a freshman in college. That was a pretty fantastic gift! Haha!
We’re pretty low key about birthdays. We usually do cake/pie and/or go out for dinner. Which is great for me!

I think my favorite birthday gift ever was a Tiffany & Co necklace from my (gasp) ex-boyfriend. I loved it because it was just so simple and silver and I could wear it every day. Unfortunately, current SO had an issue with me still wearing it, so I sold it on Craigslist for literally nothing. 🙁
SO got me a super expensive pearl necklace for Christmas, and I love it, but it’s not an every day necklace. I’d kinda feel uncomfortable wearing a $300 strand of pearls on a daily basis. I might add something more simple to my birthday list so I can have something for daily wear.

I think jewlery is always good. I was going to suggest a piece of jewlery that you could wear for your wedding, like maybe some pearl earrings to match the necklace… or like you said a necklace that you could wear every day. Massages or a gift card to your fave store are also great options too.

It’s my hubby’s birthday tomorrow and mine Monday, and this year we are not exchanging gifts 🙁 boo…lol jk we agreed to it, with the baby coming soon we are on a tight budget. But the best gift I received…hmm, lol I guess I never really got anything real big. I’m blessed to be carrying a baby this year for my birthday so I’ll go with that:)

Favorite all-time presents:
- Blue-topaz and diamond accent (diamond chips really) pendant in the shape of a key (wayyy before keys became popular). Pendants make great every-day necklaces
- Gift sets from LUSH. Seriously. The sales people there are super helpful. Everyone knows I love their Flying Fox stuff and am a shower person, not a bath person, so when they tells the sales staff that, they pick out awesome stuff.
- Diamond Candles! A ring in every candle, plus the candles are soy, smell wonderful, and are as big as yankee candles
- Couples massage. Aww yeah. He got his fully body done, I got my back done.
- Edible Arrangement. Mmmmm…
- A trip to a nail salon! What a wonderful gift that will be.. haven’t done this yet, but I really wanna go with Fiance and get my nails done and have him get a no-polish pedicure. Sand them corns, file them nails, etc.
- A big bottle of my favorite liqueur and my favorite mixer with it

BestBeast birthday present would have to be my pandora bracelet which included charms representing my kiddos’ birth month. I have the best Fiance.

Well, my Fiance (boyfriend at the time) gave me my favorite LV purse a few years back- that was one to remember!!! However, he just gave me UF Football Season Tickets (I am a die hard fan) and this is far and away the best birthday gift EVER!!!!
I think jewelry, handbags, or something technology-oriented (for example: an ipod nano to take to the gym) are always pretty safe bets!!
