Hey Bee’s! Just lurking here, not engaged yet lol but getting toward that point. I really like the look of the East West Gem Co.’s Harlow setting (I’ll post pic), but I’ve heard bad things about their quality and company. I also like the look of the Ring Concierge’s Antique setting (also posting a pic), but want a moissy instead of diamond. I want it to look as diamond like as possible, and am drawn to ovals and elongated cushions as I have small (4.25) fingers. Any suggestions for similar settings with different companies?
I’m also loving the look of pave/solitares with cathedral settings, an oval or cushion. Would also love suggestions on those!

Those rings are beautiful! I don’t know about those companies but do have several moissanite rings and I would say that my Charles & Colvard is probably my beat quality one. I have an emerald cut from JTV, Charles Winston, an elongated cushion cut from Doveggs on Amazon, an Oval from Harro Gem, and a square from C&C. I’ll post pics but it’s so hard to tell by pics and I feel like my pics always look yellow lol Goodluck in your search and have fun with it, there’s so many great options out there!

Check out August Vintage, he cuts ovals and elogated cushions and they are gorgeous, his moissanites are considered among the top quality in the market.

I have a Charles and Colvard Forever Brilliant and I am very happy with the quality! That said, I feel like my moissanite does not look very “diamond-like”, since the FB line was cut to maximize the sparkles of a moissanite. If you are looking for something more passable, I think a Hearts and Arrows, or Old European cut from Charles and Colvard, or August Vintage are good bets!

August Vintage hands down. I had one before I sold it and bought my antique diamond. To be honest, I couldnt see the difference. The only place it looked different was in my crappy office lighting. I wore them both for a week to see if it was worth the price difference…. and to be honest, it wasn’t. I truly couldnt tell the difference visually, however, i just mentally wanted the diamond.

I agree – August vintage has some killer moissanite and beautiful cuts that you can’t find elsewhere.

Joseph Schubach should definitely be on your list. They offer several different cuts, both modern and antique, and their quality is excellent. To me, their antique pear and modern cushal are terrific!

August vintage for sure! My stone is from there and it’s is mind blowingly beautiful. They can custom cut a stone to your exact measurements if that’s what you prefer! Mine is the standard 1.25ct elongated ACC. You could also have them make the setting and they’d offer and a discount because you got the stone from them, but David Klass can make it as well and his work is immaculate.

My fiance’ got my ring from East/West. He proposed on NYE. It is gorgeous. I would have to ask him for the specs for exact size – but I believe it is just under 3 carats and the side stones are shield stones.
