Revlon Photoready foundation is very good – actually Napoloean make-up is prob slightly better. Napolean lashes are the best that i’ve tried but haven’t tried that many to compare. I don’t wear eyeshadow so i don’t really have any recomendations there.

I love love love CoverFX. I used to model and I hated whatever makeup they used because it felt so heavy. CoverFX is my go to makeup. Kind of expensive, but looks beautiful and is long lasting.

I’ve ordered Pur Minerals but I don’t have it yet. I know other people who really like it. (and they don’t test on animals if you are concerned about that)

MAC makeup is by far the best for professional quality coverage. It’s designed for maximum coverage and longevity. It is pricey, but well worth the investment. I use their primer, liquid foundation and pressed powders and always get a flawless application. Their eyeshadows are super pigmented with rich colour and they last all day, and the colour selection is fabulous. Best mascara I have ever used is Benefit They’re Real, makes lashes fat and super long. Some other really great high quality makeup brands to check out are NARS, Makeup Forever (their  concealing palette is the greatest thing in the world),  Smashbox and eyeshadows by NYX this is a drugstore brand but their eyeshadows are amazing!! Their other products are not great but their eyeshadows are almost as comparable to MAC for a fraction of the cost.

I just wanted to add, mineral makeup is not great for full coverage. It’s a very light application. If you have skin dilemmas like acne scars, uneveness, blotchy or super dry ,mineral makeup is not the best choice for you. Also as another poster mentioned CoverFX is a really amazing product. Full coverage and oil free so it won’t aggrevate acne prone skin.

Estee Lauder Double Wear liquid foundation!!!! Best makeup I have ever used! I had acne for 10+ years and now unfortunately have scars…this foundation covers everything and lasts all day!

@lawbride88:  For foundation I’d suggest anything by Bare Minerals. It doesn’t look cakey and it’s even good for your skin :).

For long-lasting eyeshadow, I would recommend anything by Stila, Urban Decay, or Bare Minerals eyeshadow. Considered prestige cosmetics and pretty pricey, but definitely worth it!

Also, those are creamy and extremely vibrant/high quality eyeshadows, but to get long-lasting power you should probably invest in a primer. Urban Decay’s primer potion is amazing (as well as their 24/7 eyeliners. They will stay all day, the title doesn’t lie). It will make even chalky eyeshadows more vibrant, and will make your eye makeup stay for about eight hours without creasing :).

(This is coming from a Korean-born person with monolidded eyes which are notorious for creasing and melting makeup)

@lawbride88:  I wear Mac studio fix foundation and use their concealer.. Great cover and you can build the coverage to your liking..and like someone had posted Estée lauders double wear foundation is another great one.. The only other thing I would suggest is that you use a good quality makeup brush.. brushes are the tools to give you that flawless look.. blending is a must.

@lawbride88:  I was surprised too! I always used powder or creme but I saw Tanya Burr use EL Destination Wedding in a tutorial and decided to give it a try. It’s a medium to full coverage foundation so you can build the coverage. I use a Real Techniques stippling brush to apply it and it doesn’t look or feel cakey. Plus, with Estée Lauder you can try the foundation and return it if you don’t like it or its not quite the right shade

@lawbride88:  When was that? Is it possible that they could have changed their formula? I was just at Ulta a few days ago, and they have some SUPER vibrant eyeshadows– some of the creamiest and most electrically vibrant that I’ve ever tested. I think it could be beneficial to possibly try a few more out, it couldn’t hurt!
