I bought a sample dress first to make sure I wanted them for all of my bridesmaids.  The fabric is a nice heavy jersey (I was worried it wouldn’t be dressy enough it but is and it is not see through).  It’s not like a t-shirt jersey, it is thicker and has a tiny bit of a shine.  We tried Two Birds first – they were too expensive but their fabric is almost the same as the ones we got from The Jersey Maid.  The hem is a raw edge – I think that’s how most convertible jersey dresses are.

I ordered mine from KinderBliss and am still waiting for them to arrive.  I’m terrified and excited all at once… anyone use her?

@KristenGotMarried:  Did you ever get your dresses?  I ordered from them (before they stopped using Etsy) and recieved the wrong colour of dresses.  After months of emails, lies, and the run around, I finally contacted a lawyer and I’m currently waiting for my refund.  Hopefully it all works out better for you.  Brides, BEWARE!  Kay’s Konvertibles a.k.a. [email protected] is a terrible company.  Do not trust them!  I got scammed for $700+

Hi –

I originally ordered a fabric sample from Kay’s Konvertibles but then their Etsy disappeared!

I ended up ordering from The Jersey Maid http://www.thejerseymaid.etsy.com and she saved the day!

The fabric is a much nicer feel than the fabric sample I originally received from Kay’s.  It’s thicker and feels like the fabric used from Two Birds NOT like the cheap polyester fabric from Kay’s.

DO NOT BUY FROM KAY KONVERTIBLES!!! I ordered bridesmaid dresses back in FEB. and no dresses no refund. I am over the lies and no one will help me, not my bank, not paypal. I have already contacted the legal department at my base….Victoria’s Secret has convertible dresses….DO  NOT waste your money on that person. She keeps lying to me and I’m not even sure it’s a ‘she’. Im out $200+

@wfh1991:  After posting “reviews” on any website I could find mentioning kinderbliss/kay konvertible products, I finally received my dresses in the mail and they are beautiful.  I only wish that it didn’t take such extreme measures to have my order filled.  My reccommendation is to keep doing what you’re doing.  I went on their facebook page, posted on twitter, wedding blog sites, etc.  it took a lot of time to make all the postings but it was worth it as I got my product.  Weddingbe also contacted the vendor and he/she/it? sent me a message right away asking me for information so that they could rectify the situtation (it was in my junk mail box though, so be on the lookout).  In the end, after 6 months of emails, stress, and conversations with lawyers, my dresses took 4 days to be shipped to Canada (including customs) and have already been doled out to my weddingparty.  hope you are able to get the same results!  Good luck!

I am dealing with a Kay Konvertible nightmare!  Do not order from them!  My best friend has waited 12 weeks and still has not seen her dresses.  She has emailed and has only received vague answers as to when they’ll be shipping.  I am so frustrated for her, and it’s not even my wedding!

I am the bride that zupanccj is referencing in the above post.  I am writing just to let other brides know to be careful if you order from Kays Konvertibles.  My situation is this:  I ordered 5 dresses from Kays Konvertibles on June 6th, 2012.  I patiently waited until July 31st because the website at the time stated to expect an 8 week lead time.  On July 31st, I received an email from FedEx with tracking information.  I checked the tracking information for a week and it never changed from “shipment initiated” status.  I then emailed Kays Konvertibles and didn’t receive a response.  I then sent a message through the website and got a response telling me that I would get tracking information.  Throughout the next few weeks, many emails were exchanged between us (more from me than from Kays Konvertibles) and it is now August 31st and I still have not received tracking information.  Each email said that I just needed to wait and I would get more information, and I kept waiting and still haven’t received it.  My friend and bridesmaid, zupanccj, then decided to take action because she knew how frustrated and upset I am and posted the above post.  She promptly received a response from Miss Kay, who told her that if I hadn’t received the dresses by today, August 31, she had another order set aside for me that she would overnight ship at her expense and even promised to send an extra dress for me.  At about noon (EST) today, zupanccj emailed Miss Kay who said that she would set up the shipment at 8am Singapore time, which is 8pm my time, and that I would have tracking information when the order was on the plane.  It is now 2am and I still have not received any type of update from Miss Kay as to what is happening with my order.

My only hope is that I receive my dresses.  I am not sure what to do at this point, and just want future brides to know what they are getting into before they order from Kays Konvertibles.

All I have asked for is information that I have not been able to get.  I think that at this point in time, after all the trouble I have had, I should not have to continually ask for a status update, it would be much better service in my eyes for Miss Kay to contact me before I contact her because she has again failed to follow through on her promise.

@Jwolfie333:  I have hadbasically the same experience as you with this kaykonvertables kinder bliss company. I ordered 10 dresses June 11, added 1 dress July 5. I have paid all my money. Keep getting the run around & lies. I have emailed the company nearly everyday. No response the last week or so. 1st I was sent a tracking for a package that was not even given to FedEx, I was just lied to in order to buy time I think. Promised over & over that my dresses would arrive. Last week I received a package. It was 5 dresses, 2 of which were the wrong color that I didn’t order. Apparently they are in Singapore, if I had known that I don’t know if I would have ordered. I asked that she call me & no response.

I recently asked for a full refund & did a credit card dispute. I will have to find a plan B, I’m 1 month out & I will not let this company ruin my wedding. They are unprofessional! And, I’m starting to think scamming people. It’s just so, so sad & not right!

I even tried to send messages in their Facebook, but After sending a couple messages, they changed their preferencto who where u can’t post!!! I just don’t know what to do especially since I’ve spent about 1500 dollars!

@pinkandsparkly:

just wondering about the material from Coralie Beatrix, does it have a shine to it or matte? I have a summer wedding and going with long so also wondering if it is heavy?

In regard to the bandeau, one of my bridesmaids is pregnant so I’m leaning towards Coralie Beatrix over Jersey maid as Coralie has the bandeau sewn into the dress already and I thought this would be more comfortable and less likely to ride up.

Any opinions on this?? Thanks!

Anyone end up choosing Henkaa over Two Birds? I received the TB sample dress and it’s absolutely gorgeous. The fabric is really thick and luxurious, and I’m anxiously awaiting the swatch from Henkaa. I worry that by sacricing price (Henkaa is almost half the price of TB) we may be sacrificing quality as well. Thanks in advance for your feedback!

I just wanted to add to this thread – we had Kay Konvertible dresses for our big day. I ordered them before I found this post and was instantly anxious.  I must admit it wasn’t all smooth sailing – they took a lot longer than expected. BUT they were perfect when they arrived and the girls looked just beautiful! (See more pics here: http://www.oneloveoneday.net/2013/04/four-girls-one-dress.html)
