RIU has adults only areas and pool. Our resorts had the option but we did not take it but we hardly saw children. We went in December both times, Mexico and the Dominican. We honeymooned at Secrets in the Riviera Maya, Mexico this past January. I don’t know if it was adults only but there were not any children.

Live Aqua in Cancun is adults only.  We went twice in under a year and loved it both times!

I’ve been to a few adults only resorts, but my favorite of all time has been Sandals Negril. We got a butler room so maybe that has something to do with it. It wasn’t cheap but it was pretty great!

Fiance and I went to Live Aqua a couple years ago and we’re going back for our honeymoon.  Loved it, so looking forward to being back

Couples Resort chain in Jamaica is fabulous. They have 4 different locations. We went to Tower Isle and loved it. Very affordable, amazing food (which isn’t the case at many all inclusives) and wonderful staff.

I haven’t been here yet but husband and I are looking to go to Riviera Maya for our 10 year wedding anniversary. I’ve been researching Valentin imperial maya. Looks amazing and had great reviews.  There’s a Facebook page if you want to check it out.

My friend loves Excellence resorts and has been several times. I’m meaning to try it, I’ve never been to an all inclusive.

Secrets! I’ve been to 2 in Cabo. Highly recommend! They are all over Mexico and the Caribbean.

We went to Couples Swept Away in Jamaica and loved it! Adult only all inclusive was a must for us and it didn’t disappoint!

Le Blanc in Cancun is Adults only but not couples only.  I went years ago and loved it.  Sun Palace in Cancun is couples only and was great but Le Blanc is much nicer.  We went to Bucuti in Aruba last fall which is adults only but not AI and it was incredible.  It’s ranked #1 hotel in the world this year for romance!  Last year was #1 resort in Caribbean.  Breakfast is included and we bought a ton of booze at duty free which helped with costs.

Good luck planning!  Anywhere you end up will be amazing I’m sure!

I’ve not been to any couples only resorts but I have been to many adults only. Most of the guests were couples. In ranking of favorite to least favorite:

Iberostar Grand Rose Hall in Montego Bay, Jamaica

Valentin Imperial Maya in Riviera Maya, Mexico

Excellence Punta Cana in Dominican Republic

The Royal Suites Yucatan by Palladium in Riviera Maya

Secrets Royal Beach in Punta Cana, DR

DH and I will be celebrating my birthday at the Excellence Playa Mujeres in a few weeks. I’ve heard great things about it. Message me if you want specifics about any of them. I’d say the top 3 would be the best choices given bang for the buck and overall atmosphere!

Happy planning, bee!

We stayed at a fairly small couples only AI in St. Lucia called Rendezvous and we loved it. St. Lucia is a beautiful island, and Rendezvous had amazing staff, food, drinks, and amenities (including a spa), and we found a great deal on Orbitz.
