Do you have Google Music, Spotify or another music streaming service? If so, go to the playlists and search “wedding playlist” and “dance party”, etc. and see what comes up. I have been slowly building ours and I started by going through my own library and adding songs to my “Wedding Playlist” as I came across them. I then searched out other peoples’ playlists and so on. Make sure that when you are going through songs you listen to them and visualise how easy they are to dance to. You might really like a song but the beat it a tough one to dance to so leave it out. The last thing you want in a playlist full of music that chases everyone off the dancefloor!

The DJ got the party started with “This is How We Do It” by Montel Jordan at our reception. “Poison” by BBD also had everyone on the dance floor.

krissymichelle070 :  I love music but as soon as someone asks me what kind I like or favourite dance song I go blank haha. In the lead up to our wedding, I created a Spotify play list ‘wedding music’ and literally every time I heard a song I liked I just added it to the list as I went. By doing this I ended up with songs I loved but would have totally forgotten about! My husband and I would even sit down with a glass of wine and put MTV on and add to the list. Everyone danced their socks off al evening at our wedding and we still have the playlist. We often play it and it brings back lovely memories

The Chicken Dance (yes, I know this is polarizing, but for us it was SUPER fun and got nearly everyone out onto the dance floor)
