We have not been having luck and i personally think we do it too much.. but i also hear it is not good to wait too long .. so far this cycle has looked like this,. I tend to ovulate on day 13, or 14.. i have a 28 day cycle.
CD4- last day of AF- BD
CD 9- Plan to skip – maybe bd??
CD10 plan to skip?
cd11 – BD?

Are you charting to confirm ovulation? I’m a fan of the every other day method as I do believe that there needs to be time in between to build back up the sperm counts. Some women have had success BDing every day, but for my Darling Husband and I, I know for a fact that every day wouldn’t work for us. The cycle we got pregnant we only BD’d once, O-2.

jny1179: so you did nothing from AF to two days before O? I think that may be better for us.. since my husband has some issues with too often.. i try to chart but i am having lots of trouble sleeping.. i do opks and last month i was postiive on day 13.. not sure when i ovualted though;(

I also vote EOD. We got pregnant doing it EOD from the end of AF to ovulation. I was charting (but irregular) so I know we got -2 and O.

pinkmountain: we bd twice this month and I just got my bfp well maybe not big fat positive but there’s Def a line. My period lasts nearly the full 7 days. I’m using clear blue monitor it gave me a high reading on the monday, (cd 8)Tuesday, Wednesday,Thursday then peak reading on the Friday and Saturday. We bd the Wednesday and Friday and nothing since then lol we were tired etc!
We bd a lot more the previous 2 months. The first month we completely missed the fw as I was just going by an app. The second month we used the monitor and we bd 3 times in fw and then before and after. This month we were both grumpy and not so much in the mood sticking to a schedule so we got 1 bd in and then got drunk and did another bd I think it was the drunk one that did the trick!

pinkmountain: I’m not sure if there’s a correct answer to your question. If your husband has no sperm issues, then every day is fine. If the count or quality is lacking, every other day. This was all what my doctor recommended prior to sperm analysis. My husband had morphology issue but dramatically increased the quality with supplements within 3 months. He had absolutely no count issue and produced 172 million on the sperm analysis. The month we conceived, we BD’d every day starting O-5 to O+1. And even twice a day a few times.

Studies have shown that O-1 and O-2 are the most fertile days, so I do my best o make sure we hit both those days, but am happy as long as we hit one of them.

When I got my bfp with my son we bd’ed for 15 straight days with ovulation being on the sixth day of bding or CD18 for me.
This last cycle we BD EOD and no BFP for me, so i’m trying to do ED during my fertile window this time. we shall see!

Here’s a link to the last post you made about BD timing that has a ton of helpful feedback:
