Is it ok to post this here? I feel a bit silly for how happy I am, and I’m still new on this forum but having a hard time containing my excitement so I hope it’s alright to share……my baby asked me to be his wife this weekend and he did SO GOOD.
He booked us an incredible couples massage for our anniversary, and took me on a harbor tour cruise in the evening after an awesome lunch…he proposed on the boat, it was a beautiful day, and I was so thrilled I can’t for the life of me remember the rest of the cruise. Everyone else on the boat was very tickled and we were offered many free drinks 😛
He asked my brother (who I’m close to) to make a ring box out of beautiful black poisonwood with grapevine inlay. I was so touched by this, on top of everything else he did to make the day special. We had talked about a timeline but this could have happened any time between now and Christmas, and I did not know he had even purchased a ring. Just so incredibly happy today, and so excited for the future.

Mrs_Beer : I love the black poisowood – the inlay he did with the grapevine (my mom grows grapes, so he snipped some grapevine from her garden :P) is not perfectly smooth but I think it adds character and makes it look like he made it, which I love! My fiance explained that the inlay is a celtic wedding knot.
