I think my dress, the Willowby Watters Penelope is made for busty women! I am a 30H US, 26-27″ waist, and the dress is the first one I found that really worked on my body because of it’s illusion neckline, internal boning, and lace.

Here is my dress at BHLDN:

My dress is currently in alterations, so I don’t have a perfect after photo yet, but here is one during:

Corsets are your friend. I’m a 36DDD, can’t remember my tape measurements at the moment. My dress has a corset and boning in the bodice (Alfred Angelo) and I don’t feel as if I’m going to fall out of it at all. The picture looks a bit like my boob is crushed but it’s not, it’s just the angle.

@Jelly3 you looked STUNNING in that gown! And FYI the Wacoal Red Carpet strapless bra has NOT been discontinued =) I just ordered 2 for myself and one for my mom.  It is literally the BEST strapless bra out there for a large bust.  I’m a DDD/E Cup and that bra is a miracle.  I got the black one for a bridesmaid dress 2 years ago and ordered one in nude to see if it would work with my gown.  I have my first fitting on Saturday so I’m hoping the seamstress can lower the straps just a bit to accomodate the slight V shaped dip in the back of my gown.  I am so happy to see that was the bra you used because I was just about to ask you which one you used to accomodate your large bust.

I’ve been a little nervous about my boobs and my alterations.  My gown (a Val Stefani Moonlight Couture) fits really, really well.  But because of that small V dip in the back I have been a wreck looking for the right undergarments, wondering if the boning in my dress is enough to hold me up, or if I will need to have more boning sewn into the dress.

The Wacoal Red Carpet bra is seriously amazing… my mom tried it on and it loved it so much she ordered one for her dress.  I spent 2 weeks researching and sure enough it’s like the highest rated for large busts.

When I tried on gowns, Sophia Tolli was also AMAZING for my large bust.  Her gowns were beautiful, affordable and quite flattering.  I *almost* said yes to one of her gowns.  Sometimes I wish I had because of the corset in them.

Definitely take your time and only get the dress you feel 100% comfortable in.  Alterations can work wonders but at the same time, take boning into consideration.  The more boning built into the dress, the stronger the support for your girls!

I stand corrected… I didn’t know that Wacoal Red Carpet had a long line bra once upon a time… but yeah I don’t think they make that anymore 🙁

I’m a 32G and 29″ waist, just 5’2″. I’ll be wearing 3″ heels with my backless maggie sottero jade dress. Bust will be taped up with the type of tape they use in physiotherapy. The dress has cups and slight boning so I don’t *need* to tape the girls, per se, but I’m 40 and they’re real so the extra lift is appreciated. 🙂
