I’m 5’7" and I noticed whe  trying on dresses that I needed no alterations in length at all!! I was thankful that I wasn’t any taller! I did get my dress at David’s though, they do have dresses for women who are 5’8" and taller. Just go to their website. I happen to think that David’s has horrible customer service though. I bought my dress is Fresno, CA and it was pleasant and the lady was patient and nice. I bought my dress there because my parents live near there and paid for it. I live in Cupertino, CA and my local David’s is in San Jose, CA and the women who work there are always rude and never want to help and are so rushy.

I’m 5’8" with loooong legs and still need my Monique Lhuillier hemmed. Maybe if I were to wear 3" heels I wouldn’t need it hemmed, but Fiance is 5’7" and I do not want to tower over him.

I am 6 ft tall with a 37" inseam and I bought a maggie sottero dress right off the rack!  I have ALWAYS had a problem with dresses and jeans but buy a wedding dress ended up being easy….well, when it came to length.

I will also say that David’s only has 2 Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses that are long enough for me.  My Maid/Matron of Honor is as tall as I am and finding a good dress was a slight issue.  I would suggest if you have tall BM’s to shop somewhere else besides Davids.

I’m also 6 feet tall (6ft 1/2in. to be exact) and I have to say that wedding dresses were the one thing that weren’t TOO SHORT. Who woulda thought… But it also may depend on what kind of shoes you plan on wearing. I’ll be wearing flats so I’m not worried. But they do say that even if your dress is an inch above the floor thats still a good length. I dont think you should have any problems.

I will say that shopping for wedding dresses as a tall gal was amazingly wonderful! Wedding fit models for couture labels are 5’11-6’1, 36/28/38. It was a dream to find that these samples were made for tall gals! Not all labels have such tall fit models though, so beware of commercial labels that use shorter models.

Pronovias! Very long! Also, the Maggie dresses I tried on were quite long as well.

I don’t know if you’re still wondering about this (as everyone replied 1 month ago) but I bought a Casablanca and didn’t need extra length with it.  I’m 5’11" and wearing flats for my wedding.  They said at the salon that I could order extra length, but it would be ridiculous because I would have to pay for the length and then pay for alterations to have it chopped off!
