I’ve just found out that I am really horrible at choosing foundations and would love to know some opinions on really great drugstore foundations.
I wear foundation everyday, and will never spend department store prices for foundation, “Sorry”, that’s what I tell myself.
Anyway, I’ve bought a lot of failures, and happen to always lose the receipts so I can’t return them. =[
Please help me! I would love a long lasting founation that has a good coverage, and is good for dry skin.
I have been wearing Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation, and it’s okay. It rubbed off during my e-pics though, which I’m upset about (supposed to be wear resistent and last 25 hours…) I was rubbing noses with the Fiance in a few pictures, and the foundation wore off, leaving a red nose. Haha
Anyway…PLEASE HELP! Thanks!

L’Oreal True Match. It’s good stuff!

Right now I am using Revlon Photo Finish. It has little shimmery flecks in it, and makes my skin look smooth and even. It lasts forever too, especially when I use primer first.

@Linz1231:I actually love that foundation!

I really like the Revlon Colorstay. Hate the bottle though.
I plan on using that for my wedding day. It’s a good foundation on it’s own but I will wear a primer and finishing powder to make sure it stays perfect.

I love the new Cover Girl NatureLuxe foundation, it’s very light and smooth. I used it this past weekend for my bridal shower and it was fantastic. The feeling of a tinted moisturizer with the coverage of a foundation.

Covergirl & Olay’s Simply Ageless Foundation
I also used the Rimmel foundation you were talking about but with a good primer and finishing powder. I like it more for heavier coverage.

@sit1010:I’ve used it, and although it feels and smells great, it rubs off so bad! Even with primer. And it’s really sad though, because it matches my pale skin the best!

I’ve been using Covergirl Trueblend since I was in high school.
I refuse to switch. It’s the best! The price is reasonable. The coverage is excellent. It matches my skin tone exactly. It makes my fair skin look bright and clean – not pasty. It covers up my naturally REALLY rosy cheeks and acne scars, and with powder it lasts all day as well.
I ALWAYS get complements on my skin – if only people saw my without my makeup though!

I think Cover FX is the best drugstore brand. If I remember correctly it was first designed for major skin issues ie: major scars, burns etc. and then was eventually made available to the public. Its not the cheapest product available but IMO its worth it.

@missmuggins: I used powder over it and didn’t have any problems with it coming off at all. Any foundation that I use rubs off (and gets on everything!!!) if I don’t use a powder over it. Do you usually wear powder over your foundation? My cell phone loves that I finally started wearing powder because the screen used to be covered in foundation before.
I got a free sample through a site called BzzAgent which sends you free samples for you to review. I brought my backup foundation just in case but I won’t go back to it. I usually have to wipe off half my foundation and I didn’t have to with this.
