We chose, The Best is Yet to Come by Tony Bennett (just liked the lyrics). The DJ ended up playing Hey (I Love You) by Michael Franti last and that was a lot of fun.

I kind of wish we would have actually picked one ourselves, but we didn’t.  When it came time for the last song, the DJ played Black Eyed Peas “Tonight’s Gonna Be A Good Night.”  My husband and I just started laughing… we both HATE the Black Eyed Peas.  We like hard rock… so we didn’t pick much music ourselves for the reception since none of our family or friends like the same music we do… we let the DJs play what would make the crowd happy & dance.  It was still a fun last song and something we won’t forget. Here’s a pic from our last song… it ended up aa a giant group hug with us in the middle… lol.

We did Forever by Chris Brown.  Obviously an overplayed wedding song (although not as much lately and our wedding was in June).  But I liked the message and thought it would be a fun upbeat song to end the night!

Our DJ screwed up our last dance song (You and Me – Dave Matthews) with our first dance song (So far away – staind).

But we love both songs and it made our song (So far away) very memorable because it was the end of the night – all the young couples that were still in attendance joined us on the dance floor for our last dance. And everyone belted out the words to our song while dancing (everyone had a nice amount of liquour in them LOL). It was perfect beyond words.

We did “Last Dance” by Donna Summer. It was the only song that night that got almost everyone out to dance.

We did “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz.  It was a nice, sweet little closing song to an amazing day.

We can’t decide on a song… Maybe “Here’s to the Night” by Eve 6? But that was his high school senior year song so I didn’t want to re-use it… Plus it’s kinda slow and shouldn’t the last song be peppy?

We’ll be doing Livin on a Prayer by Bon Jovi.  My fiance is a big bon jovi fan and this one is just one you want to get up and dance and sing to!

We did “Closing Time.” It’s very fitting because my husband’s a huge fan of 90’s music. It fit our personalities well.

@brox: Good one, I also thought about that or the Good Riddance by Green Day.

We have been leaning toward Don’t Stop Believin’, but @redqueen: has me thinking about using Take Me Home Tonight!
